The Quick Scan by Mike Ramey

A few years back, a Pastor whom I knew had made a statement—which has since become a favorite of mine—attributed to him.  His statement?  “Sometimes, you have to let folk DIE!”  In other words, you can warn people, advise people, and hold the hands of people to keep them from doing low down and dirty things.  However, people will make their own choices—often against the wisdom of others around them.  No matter how much it may hurt you, we must allow people t

For many a year, the feminists and their allies in the feminized mainstream coven have been eagerly browbeating men; telling us what ‘we need to do’ with our young men.   Brothers, it took us a while to get the message, but we have done the job.  The numbers have been trending positive and our young men have been on the grow.

Well, let me be the first to put the shoe on the other foot, and go public with my words: “It’s high time that women get their younger sisters

A few years back, I was the guest on a local radio talk show.  The conversation started out concerning one of my areas of expertise: Modern Street Gangs.  My segment had finished, and the host asked me to stay over into the next segment, which dealt with another of my ar

You will not see many REAL fathers doing their thing in the feminized mainstream mess (FMS) as it is more important--in our view--to get the job done, rather than pose for the cameras, or appear on talk shows explaining why we do, what we do. But it SURE would be nice for many in our communities to take the time to remember that they have gotten where they are thanks to TWO people. A Black mother AND a Black father.

On Line Reviews by Mike Ramey

“I’m convinced that millions of people today don’t know the Lord because of the long faced, poor, suffering little me, self-sacrificing, tell-everybody-all-their-troubles Christians who act like their second birth was just as painful to them as their first one was to their mothers.”

“Confessions of a Happy Christian”

In going through a few clearance items at a local bookstore, I happened across a gem that was written by the late Zig Ziglar.  Now, those who are familiar with Zigl

Before we get started with our next installment of this series, I wanted to drop in a few key books that will help men keep sharp during their venture into the political arena. The two books that I have on my radar involved Black conservatives, how politics impacted their lives, and how their families remained strong during their political careers and public visibility.

One book is J. C. Watts’ “What Color is a Conservative”. The second is Sheriff David Clarke’s “Cop Under Fire”. Both a

Brothers, allow me to slip in a few things about the media and politics, as we begin our time together this month.

*First, make neither one--media or politics--your god OR idol. Your risk of getting hurt or deceived will be GREATLY reduced. BOTH of them are a game; a pursuit to be understood, mastered and, if possible, overcome with a political victory.

*Second, do NOT be afraid of either or them. Some media people and politicians rely on intimidation, bluff or bluster. God does NOT create a spiri

Author claims God cursed Africa, aims to prove theory in ‘Africa: The Glory, the Curse, the Remedy.

As a career politician and Christian, author Anthony Agbo – a senator in Southeastern Nigeria – often reflected on why Africa and Africans are so widely different from the rest of the world. This difference, he says, is a negative one.

In his new book, “Africa: The Glory, the Curse, the Remedy: A Biblical Perspective of the Africa Predicament” (pub

Now, this video will be a bit of a departure from my usual research in that it started off with a dream that I decided to research for its historical context and ended up in a very deep and interesting rabbit hole.
To begin, I am a prolific dreamer. I dream stories. I would say that I time travel in my dreams, some may say I astral project and all of that, but I have had some dreams that have

The Hidden Hand Behind Mega Churches

The title of this video/blog is "The Hidden Hand Behind Mega Churches."
Mega churches for the most part are a huge money enterprise/ business.  Founder of Scientology L. Ron Hubbard said in 1948 that “You don’t get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, start a religion.”
It certainly is a phenomenon and much more common today than in the past. Up until now, the Catholic Church with its many diocese and archdiocese around the globe seem

It's Hamer Time

October 20, 2011

Raynard Jackson

Fannie Lou Hamer (pronounced hay-mer) was one of the unsung pillars of the civil rights movement in the U.S.  She was a phenomenal woman—a woman of great determination and great purpose.  She was not one to hold back her feelings, especially when fighting for equality.

In 1964 she was elected Vice-Chair of the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party (MFDP).  Their stated purpose was to challenge Mississippi’s all-white delegation to the Democratic National Conventio
