As women, veteran, and minority entrepreneurs face tough challenges in getting financing for their business start-ups, a new firm – Founders First Capital Partners (FFCP) – is launching a program to help business owners in underrepresented and underfunded demographics. Offe

The World Bank Chief Economist, Apurva Shangi’s report featured in Business Daily(November 11, 2015), threw Kenya’s measurements of the County Governments’ Gross Domestic Product (GDP) into a spin when his mapping found Kiambu County to have more concentration of wealth than Nairobi. The World Bank team simply utilized an old known usage of maps. Maps can suffocate or liberate humanity. A conscious and judicious deployment of maps can facilitate Africa out of the foreign aid paradigm.

I recently saw a documentary of the Black Panther Party that aired at the E Street Cinema in Washington, DC. It was the most compelling and accurate portrayal of the organization that I have seen. Many have sought to demonize the young Black activists and their efforts have gone largely unrecognized. The documentary is a collection of news clips and interviews with authentic voices. It puts to rest the contention that the Black Panther Party was a terrorist organization and/or a hate group. I

Though no votes have yet to be cast, the biggest loser of the 2016 presidential election cycle is by far the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ). Those who follow my columns know that I have been extremely critical of my Republican Party and our presidential candidates for rarely, if ever, engaging with the Black press. I have an equal amount of criticism for NABJ. Make no mistake about it; they are a liberal organization, with very liberal leadership. I have |

This is an exceptionally long article. It might be easier to print and read it over breakfast, or at bedtime.
This article is geared toward people who seem to continuously find themselves in adversarial situations, or as sometimes coined, "Stuck in the revolving door of the judicial system." In many instances, an individual finds him or herself stuck in the system, in large part because of whom they continue to associate with. Be aware, your friends may not have your best interest at heart.

"Guilty By Color" is available at Barnes & Noble and available today
By Chris ThompsonAnyone familiar with the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Islands knows that hurricanes are NOT fun. Furthermore, if you live in these areas, you know, first-hand what you're dealing with as you see that dreaded storm heading off the West coast of Africa. Just talking about the "checklist" puts my stomach in knots; everything from the preparation, boarding up the windows, grocery shopping, to the aftermath: clean up. Let's not even get into the amount of snakes, rats and oth
I have been absent from this blog for the last month. Hard to believe, but it’s true and I apologize to those of you who look forward to my weekly posts. I have a good excuse though; I’ve been teaching a group of young ladies that have given me a run for my money. Call them young female millennials.
These young women are outspoken, opinionated, oppositional and hard to love. Many of them have dysfunctional relationships with their mothers – they have said “I hate my mom”, don’t respond well to r
[By Cynthia McKinney] Why is FBI Whistleblower Sibel Edmonds Boiling Over Former Speaker Hastert’s Plea Deal? She’s Launching a Campaign to Blow the Cover Off the Cover-Up!
Former Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) whistleblower Sibel Edmonds, founder of Boiling Frogs Post, is boiling mad these days and has launched a campaign to blow the cover off the cover-up of powerful criminals, including pedophiles, operating at the highest levels of the United States government. The ACLU” calls her
As mentioned in one of my preceding article, "Recently released from Prison? You don't need a Job, You Need a Break!" many people have an innate need to want to help you.
When people help another person, the brain releases endorphins, which are produced by the central nervous system and pituitary gland. It consists of two parts: endo- and -orphin; these are short forms of the words endogenous and morphine, intended to mean "a morphine-like substance originating from within the body."
The principle
After serving in the Georgia Legislature, in 1992, Cynthia McKinney won a seat in the US House of Representatives. She was the first African-American woman from Georgia in the US Congress. In 2005, McKinney was a vocal critic of the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina and was the first member of Congress to file articles of impeachment against George W. Bush. In 2008, Cynthia McKinney won the Green Party nomination for the US presidency.

"Leadership does not mean domination.
