George Washington was the father of our country. He confessed to chopping down the cherry tree because he could not tell a lie. But if he had opposed slavery while it was flourishing, he would have been thrown out of office on his ear. He was trapped in the evil slavery.
For over sixty two years, the mighty United States of America has imposed devastating embargo on the poor little island of Cuba. Year after year, the UN General assembly have voted overwhelmingly against this US embargo. The la

Recently I watched Frontline production of “Poor Kids” on PBS TV. Actually, I did not watch the entire show. The plight of poor kids in America, the richest country in the world, was too depressing. It was a disgrace. I had to turn it off.
It made me think of how the Build Back Better bill would help poor kids. Conditions require that this bill deserves unanimous support. The time is overdue for the rich billionaires to step up and help the poor by visibly and vocally supporting this bill. These
Donald Trump captured the white vote primarily by embracing racism. However, this racism is nothing but a red herring to distract his followers from the fact that Republicans have nothing to offer the American people, with the exception of tax breaks for the billionaires. As I have asked before, “Will racism put food on the table?” Will racism help to pay your outrageous hospital bill? The sad fact is that the Republicans reward their white support with exploitation.

As a black person, I am shocked when white persons that I considered friends proclaim that they are proud followers of the blatant racist, Donald Trump. As a matter of fact, I am convinced that the overwhelming majority of Trump supporters do so precisely because he is racist. As a black person, I am shocked when a white person that I respect for their integrity, proclaim that they are proud supporters of such a barefaced liar as Donald Trump. According to the Washington Post, in his four years

It is clearly evident that the Republican Congresspersons and Senators have one sinister purpose. Their aim is to sabotage every meaningful bill that Biden proposes. Look at the record. Look at the infrastructure bill. Look at the Build Back Better bill. Virtually every single Republican has opposed or can be counted to oppose. These bills are the best bills since Social Security and Medicare. Of course, as per usual, the Republicans hide behind some pretext, but their real aim is to cripple th

My attention has been drawn to sponsored write ups in the media, claiming that I passed the buck on my responsibility for the constitution of the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC.
The write ups deliberately published while I am outside the country on national duty, reportedly quoted my media aide, Jackson Udom, claiming that I have denied responsibility for the constitution of the board of the Commission. I have checked with Mr Udom, and he has clearly said he was misquoted.

“When you’ve been through hard times—and you come out; when they come around again, they’re an old, familiar friend!”
A few years back, there was a major economic downturn. Companies were going under. Unemployment was on the rise. One wise business owner observed the goings on. Using great people skills, the business owner called his employees together and made the following statement: “I understand that this cou
