Hello All:

Recently registered Rep-ugh-blican, Raynard Jackson posted a critical article stating that the Republican Party had abandoned him. And he took umbrage to some of their racist tactics. But, as you will read, he copped out in the end, and his conclusion left a lot to be desired.  So I wrote the following response to his statement.   You can read his complaint, and see if you agree with my response.  His article follows my response:

Last week, as I was riding the local train in Washington, DC, I began to ponder on the thoughts that had begun to flood into my mind.

I was president of my senior class at Soldan High School in St. Louis, MO.  I had a lot of my friends who worked hard to get me elected.  So, during this train ride, I wondered how my classmates would have responded if I decided to put all my energies into helping another school across town?

King Solomon, of the Bible fame, states in Proverbs 4:7, “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting, get understanding.”

I assume that it’s still legal in the U.S. to mention or quote from the Bible?  I am not too sure; this can cause me to be accused of being insensitive to other religions—but, I digress.
