The event will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended by celebrities, top Black businesspeople, state politicians and more.   • Commemorating the 44th Anniversary, founding of the Black Panther Party

  • Description: On Friday, October 22nd, the New Black Panther Party will host its annual observation of the founding of the Black Panther Party. This special event will take place at the A Phillip Randolph School of the Humanities, 220 West 121st Street between Adam Clayton Powell and Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem. Please note the venue change. Doors will open at 6p.m. It will be keynoted by Dhoruba Bin Wahad, the former field secretary for the Black Panther Party in New York and former political prisoner and by attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the Party’s national chairman. This hardhitting moving gathering will also include a special tribute to the New York 21, the Black Liberation Army and Black political prisoners.   • Description: We need your help with making this year's conference a success! Every Wednesday at 7:30pm, we are meeting with teens, college students, and adults that want to volunteer and help various tasks related to the conferernce. Our meeting space is at Just Food (located at 1155 Avenue of Americas, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10036). At the meeting you will meet different members of the planning commitee. They will describe the types of support needed for the conference. It is our hope that we can match you with a committee based on your interest. Please RSVP to me before 4pm on Wednesday, Oct. 13th.
