  • Description: On Friday, October 22nd, the New Black Panther Party will host its annual observation of the founding of the Black Panther Party. This special event will take place at the A Phillip Randolph School of the Humanities, 220 West 121st Street between Adam Clayton Powell and Frederick Douglass Blvd in Harlem. Please note the venue change. Doors will open at 6p.m. It will be keynoted by Dhoruba Bin Wahad, the former field secretary for the Black Panther Party in New York and former political prisoner and by attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, the Party’s national chairman. This hardhitting moving gathering will also include a special tribute to the New York 21, the Black Liberation Army and Black political prisoners. The Black Panther Party was founded by the late Huey P. Newton and Bobby Seale on October 15, 1966 in Oakland, California.
