TRIBUTE TO AMAZING 92-YEAR OLD AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORIAN TO BE HELD IN PHILADELPHIA, AND BROADCAST LIVE, WORLDWIDE, FOR FREE ON INTERNET TV, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23rd, 2010 On Saturday, October 23, 2010, the worldwide Black community will honor one of its greatest treasures, 92 year-old, Dr. Edward Robinson. At this event, attendees and viewers will learn all about the amazing accomplishments one of greatest Black men alive. The event will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended by celebrities, top Black businesspeople, state politicians and more. The event will also be broadcast worldwide, for free, on TAG TEAM Marketing Internet TV (details below). Dr. Robinson is an attorney, author, curriculum specialist, film maker and historian. As an attorney and entrepreneur, he is the past president of the Provident Home Life Insurance Company, a former member of the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank, Deputy Secretary of the State of Pennsylvania and Assistant Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia. As an author, he has written "Journey of the Songhai People" and "Twas the Night before Kwanzaa". He has also produced CD's and DVD's such as "Black Rhapsody" and "The Songhai Princess". As a curriculum specialist, he designed an infused African History course for the Philadelphia School District and the secondary and group leader curricula for the highly successful d'Zert Club. Presently, he is working on the crown jewel of all of his works, a full length motion picture, called "Whispers of the Medallion". Dr. Robinson is also a phenomenal teacher and mentor. During the 65 years he has been on this trail, he has mentored some of the Black community's most influential people. His mentees include Reverend William Gray, Jr., former Congressman and President of the United Negro College Fund; the late State Representative David P. Richardson; current State Senator Leanna Washington; Dr Walter Lomax, president of the Lomax Group and owner of WURD Radio; Dr. Molefi Asante, professor of history at Temple University and Dr. Jackie Mayfield, co-founder of Comprotax, the largest black owned tax preparation company in America.
