“The tiger pretends to be a vegetarian”
--Author Gerd de Ley
The Book of Chinese Proverbs

With all of the attention being paid to China these days, understanding of some of the proverbs which govern this nation could be considered a gold mine to some. Enter Gerd de Ley, one of the favorite modern authors on the subject of proverbs used around the world with his work: “The Book of Chinese Proverbs: A Collection of Timeless Wisdom, Wit, Sayings & Advice (2019, 307 pages, Hatherleigh Press).”

Trump’s Racism Goes International

Trump’s racism is not limited to America, but is a menace to the world.

Traditionally, Venezuela, like most Latin American countries , have been ruled by white elites, despite the variety of races in the country. The late President  Hugo Chavez disrupted that.  He was the first Venezuelan leader to embrace his Afro-indigenous heritage, His successor Maduro also did not come from white elites, with his indigenous roots. Throughout Latin America, the US has typically sided with the white ruling cl

Reaction has trailed Governor Wike’s move to set up task force on borders which is aimed at checkmating the Covid-19 pandemic from spreading in Rivers State.

A chieftain and former All Progressives Congress Spokesman, Chris Finebone in a short statement made available to journalists with the caption “Reaction to Setting up of Task Force on Borders by Gov. Nyesom Wike”, stated that, “It will be another misstep on the part of the governor to embark on such dangerously ignorant line of action. More

Anatomy of A Racist

Blacks in the US,  compared to whites,  have worse education, higher unemployment, lower wages and  life expectancy, inferior housing, healthcare, and so on. Besides, there has been an increase in racism led by the president of the United States of America, Donald Trump. What do these racists want? Using history as a guide, these racists probably  want some or all of the following:

  • Continuation of police brutality
  • Discrimination in the workplace in hiring and promotions
  • Continued voter suppression

Stark Raving Mad Trump

At one point, I thought Trump was just an egomaniac. However, as I have come to observe more of his actions, it has become obvious that he is also a  maniac and a megalomaniac. He is stark raving mad! There can be no other explanation. His withholding money from the World Health Organisation in the midst of such a grave COVID-19 pandemic has confirmed this diagnosis.  Is the United Nations next?

I think those close to him were aware of his condition and tried their best to shield this from the p

One of my favorite war flicks is 1949’s “Battleground”. In brief, the film deals with the fictionalized adventures of a segment of the famed 101st Airborne Division during WWII. The 101st suffered great losses and hardships holding a city by the name of Bastogne until help arrived. The film’s climax comes as the surviving members of the unit were finally relieved, and got their orders to retire from the fighting.

As they were marching out, in the distance, they could see a new outfit of fresh tr

RETURN OF--THE STAMPEDE!

…but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.
--I Samuel 30:6c

During my days as a probation officer--with a high-risk case load--I discovered one cold, cruel reality. I was responsible for my own safety. Never mind the training I had, or the backup I received from law enforcement or the kind words from my judge. I was responsible for me.

This realization takes fear--yes, fear--firmly out of the equation for daily living.

It is up to each Christian to discern truth from

CHATTEL SLAVERY STILL REMAINS THE MOST RELEVANT PERIOD OF BLACK HISTORY

If you free a people and continue to control all the land,
and control all the money,
you will effectively control all the people
and keep them in captivity.
That is what is meant by the term “CAPTIVE LABOR.”

The Ramey Commentaries by Mike Ramey

I tip my hat to the young men whom I have had the opportunity to teach in the classroom; meet in the lockup, talk with on the streets, and cover and read about during my travels along the broadcast, print, and electronic frontier. I’ve learned from them, and, I trust, they have learned more from me--and are able to pass it on to the next generation.

A Jamaica Poor No More

"It is painfully obvious that under the present economic system Jamaica will be poor forever. A Jamaica poor forever or A Jamaica poor no more. The choice is perpetual poverty or an end to poverty. The solution is not capitalism. It is not communism. It is not socialism. It is a completely new –ism which is unique to Jamaica, so I call it Jamaicanism. Under Jamaicanism, my proposed economic system, Jamaica will be poor no more."

 Nathaniel x Vance ~

• Are you all not planning to go see Steven Spielberg magnificent new movie LINCOLN? If you are not planning to do so, it would be a colossal mistake if you miss it – it will be like not going to see Spike Lee epic movie MALCOLM X. If word on the street is anywhere near true, this movie should be loaded with numerous sublime narratives and subtle dramatizations, which should spark much illumination in all who see it, especially those whose psychic heritage today harkens back

"Checkmate" - The Legal Resident (Science of the Godhead)

by Minister James McCombs

Checkmate - Legal Residentir?t=theb04-20&l=ur2&o=1 is my response to the racist climate in this country. It was generated as scripturally sound, to counterpoint against satanic enthusiasms for racist ideals. You'll probably never know what it is to experience the extremes of racisms in this country, until you have challenged the American sy

God and the Devil in Haiti

Baby Doc,
"Evil shall prevail!"

God and the Devil in Haiti

Fable of the Black Bird

Black Bird
A Fable

The cage door was always open, but the little bird wouldn't come out. He loved the cage, he had been in it so long. Other birds would fly into the white house and beg the little bird to come out, but he wouldn't. Sad, the other birds would fly away home to paradise, their hearts white with anger and sorrow for their lost brother who loved the cage. "He is so hard-headed, "the other birds said on their way home, "but we will get him out, we will get him out...." He was a smart

African Christian Awakening

The christian message advancement in Africa has gone a really long way. The histroy of great africans who has sacrificed their lives for the Message of the Gospel has really been astonishing, but the Message is yet to penetrate the political landscape and provoke the much awaited political transformation expected in most African nations. We have seen a near constant revival in the christian ministry generally in many african nations but we have not seen a corresponding growth in social education,
