The East Africa Regional Conference is the second ASI regional conference to be held in Africa with the aim of bringing together African revolutionaries, progressives, individuals and groups involved in struggle for a free, united Africa to discuss and adopt the strategy and tactics of African internationalism. The East Africa Conference is expected to bring together representatives from Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Sudan, Congo, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Cameroon, Liberia, Ghana, Guinea-Conakry, Equatorial Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast, South Africa, England, United States of America, Nicaragua, Jamaica, Venezuela, Honduras, and other parts of the world. MAAFA…The Struggle Continues looks at where we’ve been, where we are and where we hope to go. Under the direction of Michele Hawkins-Jones, this 35 member all male cast, ranging in age from 9 to over 65 years old sings, dances and tells Black men’s trials, dreams and hopes. The renowned choreographer, Obediah Wright returns to St. Paul to re-imagine the dance and is joined this year by the amazing Shedrick Mitchell as musical director.
