Asante, who has been cited as one of the most influential leaders of the decade will bring his dynamic message on the value of “Embracing  And Activating The Lessons Of Our African Ancestors” to CEMOTAP at its 31st anniversary celebration.  On to Saturday,  April  21st  at 3:P.M. at the Robert Johnson Family Life Center at 172-17 Linden Blvd., St Albans, NY.  Dr. Asante will be joined by Dr. Leonard Jeffries who will bring an acknowledgement message on the life and work of Sister Winnie Mandela. 

    Included among Dr. Asante’s stellar record of achievements are having published 77 books, all dealing with African history, accomplishment and culture.  He  is also recognized throughout the African world as the founder of the theory of Afrocentricity. In 1987 Dr. Asante created the first Ph.D. program In African American Studies at Temple University. He has been honored as a history maker with

    Hendrix is a recent winner of the prestigious (See Jose Hendrix winning Best of the Best in video here Vodacom Congo Best of the Best. This award is similar to America’s Got Talent in Africa. His music is a blend of universally accepted pop with roots in Africa, Latin and America and is the result of a collaboration with American songwriter Kelly Myers. She writes the songs in Kansas City, Missouri, and Hendrix records them in a studio from the Democratic Republic of Congo.

    The Jericho Amnesty Movement will be celebrating 20 years of struggle to liberate all U.S. political prisoners and prisoners of war.
    During these twenty years, Jericho has provided consistent support to our captured freedom fighters, including visiting them regularly and facilitating family and legal visits. Jericho has also formed legal and medical teams to help our freedom fighters. We have marched, held workshops, forums, and other events to educate people on our political prisoners and to provide much needed assistance to them and their families.
