Central Brooklyn Jazz Consortium presents the Brooklyn Jazz Hall of Ceremony on Wednesday, May 9, 6:00 PM. This affair will take place at the Billie Holiday Theatre on the campus of the Bedford Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation.
Pianist Irving "Duke" Jordan will be inducted into this hall of fame. Several bands will perform. This year's honorary chairpersons are: Randy Weston-NEA Jazz Master, Dorthaan Kirk-WBGO Jazz Radio, and Wayne Winborne-Rutgers Institute of Jazz.
