    Included among Dr. Asante’s stellar record of achievements are having published 77 books, all dealing with African history, accomplishment and culture.  He  is also recognized throughout the African world as the founder of the theory of Afrocentricity.     Hendrix is a recent winner of the prestigious (See Jose Hendrix winning Best of the Best in video here Vodacom Congo Best of the Best. This award is similar to America’s Got Talent in Africa.     The Jericho Amnesty Movement will be celebrating 20 years of struggle to liberate all U.S. political prisoners and prisoners of war.
    During these twenty years, Jericho has provided consistent support to our captured freedom fighters, including visiting them regularly and facilitating family and legal visits. Jericho has also formed legal and medical teams to help our freedom fighters. We have marched, held workshops, forums, and other events to educate people on our political prisoners and to provide much needed assistance to them and their families.

    Oliver “OT” Thomas, host of WBOK’s The Good Morning Show, will host the Louisiana Fashion Expo on March 10, 2018 at Watson Memorial Teaching Ministries, located at 4400 St. Charles Ave.

    The expo is, in part, in response to the Swedish retailer H&M’s recent controversial ad featuring a Black boy wearing a hoodie that bore the message, “Coolest monkey in the jungle.” The goal, according to event organizer Evangelist Melonie Pichon, is to feature independent fashion designers who desire diversity while valuing African American dollars.
