WHEN DEMOCRATS RUN INTO THE CHURCH

During my ‘active’ years as a Minister, one of the complaints that I most often heard coming from congregation members of various churches in the Black Community was the following: “I can’t get ahold of my Pastor.”  I never really had a good explanation as to why this was so until I checked out the local political news over the past few years.

Seems that Democrat office holders have little problem getting ahold of a Pastor—or a congregation—on a Sunday morning in our communities, especially when they are worried about keeping Black voters ‘lined up’ and ready for sacrifice on their altar of politics.

I’ll get to my list of some of the more recent examples, but first I wanted to put forth a warning to Pastors who ‘play the political game’ over preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.  The reason WHY the church has lost much of its power is that it is so ‘hooked up’ with the political process, that they have forgotten some words of wisdom from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.: “The CHURCH is the CONSCIENCE of the state.”

Churches in many a neighborhood don’t seem to have problems in securing a variety of grants from federal, state and local agencies.  All they must do to qualify for those grants is NOT to evangelize those who participate in the grant-funded program.  Thus, if someone in that program came to a church member or a Minister concerned about their soul, and they are led to faith in Jesus Christ (John 3:16-17 KJV) the grant(s) will be killed off IMMEDIATELY.  Never mind the fact that a soul is worth more to the Kingdom of God than grant money—but far too many churches don’t seem to mind taking the thirty pieces of silver to keep their doors open.  Of course, if the Pastor and Deacons would do more to teaching and modeling the benefits of Tithing to the work of the Lord, NO grant money would be needed.  Silly me!

The Democrat party excels at playing the Black community for suckers on Sunday morning.  First, various Democrat leaders came up with the idea of bussing congregations down to the polls for Early voting—right after Sunday morning services.  Then, we have had Hillary Clinton, Fani Willis and now Joe Biden spending Sunday morning in some Black Church—IN the pulpit no less—‘bucking, winging and pandering’ before God’s people about why they deserve ‘another’ term in office (so they can forget about them until the next election).  Remember: the same politicians 'locked down' the church, but kept the liquor and weed stores OPEN.

Want to know something?  God’s pulpit is sacred; reserved ONLY for God’s man (I Timothy, Chapter 2:9-15 KJV).  EACH one of those Democrats (and others) have been cursed by mocking God’s pulpit and God’s people.  Further, the Man of God who is the Pastor of such a church ALSO is punished on a variety of fronts.  Dancing with the world ain’t worth the price.
