George Edward Tait was born in Oakland, California and raised in Harlem. He graduated from Pace Universityin 1968 with a B.A. in English Language and Literature and a minor in French Language and Literature after being a member of the literary society and The Pace Press.
From 1968-1972, he taught and tutored English at Queens College while conducting Creative Writing workshops.

Reachout will be hosting its 9th Annual Walk for Peace on Saturday 7nd June 2014. The event starts at 1:00 pm to 8:30 pm at Lakefront Promenade Park in Mississauga. Last year’s event was a huge success with participants from all across the GTA. Our goal is to raise funds for Reachout’s upcoming Youth Scholarship Awards as well as to bring awareness to the constant violence that is plaguing our community, to motivate the youth to play a part in creating peaceful and positive relationship with each other. There is a beautiful trail in the park and after the walk we will have a free barbeque and games for everyone. This will be an all-day fun and family event. We want to address the problems of youth in the community, to promote positive relationships between youth, to work with parents, members of the community and other organizations.
