BLACK FOLK—TIME TO WISE UP AT THE POLLS

      From a biblical point of view, it is wrong for godly people to be on the side of the oppressor—regardless of their color.  For Black voters to continue to give their hard-fought votes to candidates who are killing babies in the womb (including Black and Brown babies); to folk who support lawlessness, mock the poor, encourage illegal aliens to invade our shores and rob us of economic growth is not only wrong, but it is downright insulting to our Black ancestors.

      Yes, the oppressor in this case?  Democrat office holders.  Check your local crime rates for their ‘successes’.

      For those who are ‘hip’ about our Black ancestors, remember the following: Many of them were Christians, loved the church, supported the KJV Bible, and lived out their Christian walk in before their families and communities—including casting their votes for upright politicians.  Fast forward a few generations.  Many of their descendants have turned ‘loose’ of God’s hand and figured that ‘they got this’.  We have seen Black loyalty switch from the Republican (the party of Lincoln) to the Democrat party (the party of Biden)—the SAME party backing many of the problems that have surfaced in urban areas TODAY.

      Now, I realize that there have been a lot of my fellow Black writers hammering on Republicans for several years.  It’s time for these same writers to be honest enough to look in their own backyards for a change.  When you have a liberal, Democrat, educated, Black, female judge going through hearings to win a seat on the U. S. Supreme Court NOT able to define ‘what a woman is’ in front of a white, female, Republican U. S. Senator—then the Black sister smirked over her ignorance, it is safe to say that there is something wrong among Black folk.  Too many have drunk the fruit punch and have taken a ‘deep dive’ into moral and political stupidity while patting themselves on the back for being ‘good Democrats’ with an ‘illusion of inclusion’.

       As Aretha once sang: “Who’s Zoomin’ Who”?

      Too many Blacks who support Democrat causes have forgotten—or don’t even know their own history.  This battle in the hood goes back many decades.  Booker T. Washington and W. E. B. DuBois got into it back in the 1800s.  Washington, a former slave, was a Christian and a preacher.  He built Tuskegee University brick by brick, educated our people in the ways of economic success and political freedom via Christian living and conservative principles (read his book “Character Building” for more).  W. E. B. Dubois, who was in the church, but the church was not in him; who was NEVER a slave, objected to Washinton’s methods of advancing our people.  DuBois set Washington’s policies and programs on blast.  He was aided by White liberals and went after Washington, repeatedly stating that ‘Black folk needed liberal help to progress’ when we were already progressing. 

      Unfortunately, towards the end of his life, DuBois realized that Washington was right all along.  Too late, Dubois realized that white liberals played him for a sucker and set him up for a fall.

     This same scenario is playing out today.  Instead of the talented Black Tenth doing the dirty work, we now have a host of Black entertainers, rappers, sports stars and media darlings held before us on a short leash.  Trump and West are the ‘bad’ guys.  Biden is ‘good’ for business.

      Really?  IF Biden gets his way, the next war will bring back the draft and GUESS where the soldiers will come from?  Same place that LBJ got ‘em.  The Black community. 

      Malcolm X had a saying that bears repeating, which I will paraphrase: “The most dangerous person in our land is a white liberal.”  It’s high time that Black folk wise up and start look at candidates other than ones who have a ‘D’ after their names.  The evidence of Democrat incompetence and indifference is right in front of you in your wallet, in your streets, and in the unemployment line.  How much longer will we let our cities burn and NOT ‘vote da bums out’ that think more of themselves—than their own people?  Black folk, wise up, pray up, and get to the polls and vote for better candidates!  If none are available, you run for public office in the party that best represents YOUR core beliefs.  More than likely, it will be the party of Lincoln.

      By the way, IF you make the decision to run as a Republican—in many places, you may get a piece of ‘the Trump treatment’.  Don’t worry—if God is on your side, you will thrive while many will hide!  IF you don’t like Democrats or Republicans, run as an Independent—but realize it will take a LOT of persuasion to draw votes to your cause in a general election.

      Don’t be like the pro athlete who complained about the politics of our present day and was asked if he was registered to vote and voted.  His response to both questions was NO.  Thus, he could complain all he wanted—but he did nothing to address the issues.  He thought more of HIS paycheck and luxurious living rather than the fans who lived from paycheck to paycheck who bought the tickets to watch HIM play.

      It’s not about the lies of the 1619 Project.  It’s about the truth of 1776 reality.  Study your history Black folk!  America is far from perfect—but it is a LOT better being here than in any ‘socialist utopia’ that the Democrats are trying to build on the blood and bone of the Black community. If you doubt me, check the ‘success’ of Biden policies on the Southern Border at a downtown near you!
