AS SIN CONTINUES TO EXPAND—PART 3

      As we wrap up this series, allow me to provide a rather sad example of how God judges sin in His people.  We are all familiar with what happened in Israel on October 7^th, 2023.  More than 1400 people dead or wounded at the hands of the enemies of that nation.  More than 200 hostages were taken.  Ruin, wreckage, and destruction continue unchecked.  However, this COULD have been prevented.

      How, may you ask?  I’m getting to that.

      Israel could have stopped sinning—and repented—and God would have stayed His hand.

      A month or so before this incident, it was reported that Israel had a host of sins that were rolling on AGAINST the Word of God.  Homosexuality was rampant.  Abortion on Demand was on the books.  Same sex marriage had been approved—even to the point of having death benefits awarded to military ‘spouses’ in the event of the death of their ‘loved one’.  Now, Homosexuality—according to the KJV Bible is an ABOMINATION to God.  Abortion is an ABOMINATION to God.  So, IF God’s people are going to ACTIVELY practice sin under the eyes of God, He—true to form—will judge that sin often through using the enemies of Israel to exact the penalty of that sin. I Kings 14 provides a great example of how God dealt with sin in the land.  So does the entire Book of Lamentations, penned by Jeremiah after a price was paid among God’s people for NOT listening to Him, nor following His rules.

      According to the scriptures, in the New Testament, God still judges sin among his people, whether it be in the land of Israel, or in the local church house.  Sin is not out of date with God.  Further, a nation, or a people, should NOT make the mistake of thinking that God will ‘overlook’ sin just because there is a church on every corner, or, because people can sing the words to old Christian church standards.  Abortion and Homosexuality had been practiced in modern Israel for a LONG time.  They crossed the line, and God allowed their enemies to breach their defenses at—of all places—a PEACE Concert!  This underscores the warnings of Scripture: “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape (I Thessalonians 5:3 KJV).”

      The Prophet Isaiah told of a time in Hebrew history that, because of the sins of the people of God, there would be a variety of His prophetic judgments that would befall the nation of Israel.  One set of judgments led to the ruin of the ability of the nation to produce food and water.  Another set of judgments decreed the ‘disappearance’ of strong, capable men to lead in the home, society, and the government.  Another prophetic judgment would be that the nation of Israel would be oppressed by children AND ruled by women…much to the disgrace of the nation (this and more found in Isaiah, Chapter 3 KJV).

      Make no mistake…the Old Testament is there for our education to LEARN from the mistakes of others. 

      Judgments have hit America like a sledgehammer, with more on the way.  The economy is in tatters thanks to rising inflation. Severely decreased in number are upright men—true godly men—in our society.  Secondly, the youth of America are oppressing many cities from the streets.  Thirdly, the rise of ungodly women, of BOTH political parties, in politics; women that have a form of godliness AND deny the power thereof; women who rose to political prominence ‘wrapped’ in the cloak of religion, feminism, and lust for power—at the same time ‘downing’ men and claiming that they should ‘rule’ society—regardless of post—better than men.  Fourthly, the mainstream media (along with social media agenda warriors) spew forth a host of ungodly messages, lies, and images.

      Let’s circle back to the rise of women in the halls of power. How have women leaders in industry, academia and government been working out over the last few years?  Miserably, according to published reports.  We’ve gone from ‘What is a woman?’ from a Black woman who now sits on the US Supreme Court, to a Black woman who is an alleged plagarist serving as President of an Ivy League school.

      What’s the solution?  Well, understand that these are signs of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.  Bible prophecy has clearly warned of what we should expect in the last days.  Our first solution is to make sure that we are secure to God through Jesus Christ, clean up our OWN sins, and clearly pray, and vote for those who have the character and morality in their PRIVATE lives to rise up, run for office and represent us in government.  Second, we have the duty to pray for and REMOVE by legal means (petition, recall, impeachment, etc.) those from office who are NOT doing their best for us in the halls of power.

      As sin continues to expand, it is up to INDIVIDUALS to repent and stop their own sin in its tracks at THEIR home and allow for righteousness to expand—while there is still time.  Folks we need to live right, walk right, vote right, and fight for the right things that our parents instilled in us when WE were younger.  God is giving us grace to clean things up while there is time on his prophetic clock to do so.  That tock is ticking, and the gears are turning a lot faster than we may think. 

      If we want to have better government and better leaders, we need to have better voters coming from upright, truly godly homes.  Otherwise, it will be more of the same come election time.
