AS SIN CONTINUES TO EXPAND—PART 2
In opening this next installment, let me be clear about a few things. First, sin—by the KJV Bible definition—is ANY missing of God’s mark. There are at least 175 sins described in detail. Some preachers estimate that there are anywhere between 300 to 500 sins covered in scripture. It doesn’t matter if one has committed one sin—or 101 sins. In God’s sight, you commit one, you are Hell bound UNLESS you have yielded yourself to Jesus Christ and can have Him clean—and continue to clean—your sins away!
Sin is something that needs to be avoided at all costs.
Let us head on further down the trail. In the Old Testament, when the children of Israel dug in their heels against God and told the prophet Samuel that they wanted a King “just like the surrounding heathen nations”, God told Samuel that they were not rejecting the prophet—they were rejecting God himself. Samuel was instructed to lay out for the Lord’s people what they would LOSE if they got a king and became like the surrounding nations. The people listened—and still wanted to be outside of the will of God. The first Hebrew king was Saul. Good looking man, but quickly went downhill, taking the nation with him.
In the New Testament, Jesus respected the governmental system. He paid taxes. He chose a Tax Collector to be a member of His inner circle (that being Matthew, who has a gospel penned by him), and other epistles written by the Apostles clearly lay out how man—especially those who are followers of Jesus Christ—are to live under good and bad governmental leaders throughout history, until the Rapture of the church, and the Second Coming of Christ.
We are to PRAY for our leaders—both good and bad. This is to make the good better, and the bad bearable. BOTH need prayer in order to keep their hands off of God’s church and God’s people.
Government and its leaders are there for our good…NOT our worship! Where government tries to replace, stamp out, or put down the church, the KJV Bible, or Christ, we MUST part ways. We have a command—as Christians—NOT to support those institutions, political parties or politicians that are AGAINST the instruction of the Bible. IF they do NOT repent, we do NOT support them, PERIOD!
Sadly, we have folk who go to church on Sunday and give their vote to gypsies, tramps, and thieves in government at election time, blissfully unaware of the fact that God DOES hold us accountable for EACH time we vote, and who we vote for or against.
God keeps score by His Word. Do we? It irritates me to no end to see preachers dig in their heels in support of bad government and bad politicians ‘for them to get political power’. Remember the buses that started rolling to churches a few years back to pick up voters from Sunday services for ‘early voting’? Buses are NOW being used as a tool by God to humble those cities and churches with illegals by the score, Amen? God will NOT be mocked!
On a historical note, America is NOT a ‘democracy’ but a Constitutional Republic. Thus, when the “Pledge of Allegiance” is spoken, one of the key phrases is: “…and to the Republic, for which it stands…” Further, IF our government institutions or office holders do not honor the Constitution but seek to ignore it—or deliberately disregard it—it does little good for elected officials to place their hands on a Bible to be sworn into government service (or, elective office) and swear to ‘uphold the Constitution and protect the United States from all enemies—both foreign and domestic’ (paraphrase).
Notice I did not insert the word ‘character’ of the office holder. Back in the day, when the Founding Fathers put this country together, the character of those in elective or appointed offices were heavily scrutinized by the public. IF a potential office holder was a known Sabbath breaker, did not attend church, nor had a reputation of being a drunk, woman-chaser, or lover of money, THOSE type of people were NOT considered FIT for public service.
Those days ARE long gone. Now we have BOTH men and women who are unfit in their private lives who—by way of money, power, and other types of string-pulling—have entered the halls of power, be it in academia, entertainment or perhaps the most dangerous arena of all, political power. The party does NOT matter. BOTH political parties have fought hard to allow the dishonest at the expense of the honest. They smile and expect the Christian to ‘look the other way’ as sin continues to expand in our land.
But hang on sports fans, there’s MORE!
What is TRULY disturbing is how many women who swallowed the feminist brew who are NOW practicing the same sins for which they have waved their fingers in the faces of men. Jezebel—without apology—has manifested in our last days, with her cousin Delilah and Mrs. Lot to round out the trio. Evil women have made their presence known in the halls of power. Further, these corrupt women have ‘told’ men that more women belong in politics and the halls of power in government, business, and education—ONLY to find more and more women (some of them Black) being involved in drunkenness, drug abuse, divorce, adultery, and a host of other sins, as the Lord has laid out in Isaiah, Chapter 3.
More to come.
