Young Voices on Zora Neale Hurston@Harlem School of the Arts FREE Program for TEENS & FAMILY Sat., June 28, 3pm-6pm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -- Zora Speaks -- Come & Share your love of ZORA! -- Call to RSVP: 212 865-2982 African Voices, Harlem School of the Arts, In the Loop & the Harlem Book Fair present "Zora Speaks - Voices of Our Youth": A series of sessions giving way to the creative spirit of Zora Neale Hurston that has transcended the years through young people learning how to find their voice using words, authors who are reaching teens with their published works and artists who are using their voices to move young people to do and want more. The celebration is a closing ceremony for the National Endowment for the Arts Big Read celebration of Ms. Hurston's "Their Eyes Were Watching God." Join us for an afternoon of fun at the Harlem School of the Arts, 645 St. Nicolas Ave. (145 St.). Take A, C, D, & B trains to 145th Street. For information call: 212 865-2982 An exciting event featuring the Spirit of a Woman Rites of Passage Collective, the Griot Reading Series, In the Loop, poet David Mills and a distingushed panel of teen authors! If time permits, you are welcome to read passages from "Their Eyes Were Watching God" or share your own poetry. Please call in advance to be put on the program. Come & Share your love of ZORA!
