  • Description: The Arts in Harlem: Just Good Business New York, NY, September 18, 2008--The Harlem Arts Alliance (HAA) today announced the schedule for its second annual HARLEM ARTS ADVOCACY WEEK taking place from Thursday October 2 through Tuesday October 7 in various locations around Harlem. With a focus on how the arts and business in today’s Harlem share the keys to Harlem’s future, this five-day exchange of ideas, from grassroots advocacy to city and state-funded marketing initiatives to local partnerships, will impact the businesses as well as the cultural institutions and individual visual and performing artists residing and working in the vibrant community of Harlem. HARLEM ARTS ADVOCACY WEEK activities begin with an arts and business partnership seminar and conclude with a special tribute by New York City Councilwoman Inez E.
