BCF features the Bronzeville Film Festival and the Bronzeville Book Fair and cooperates with the Lake Meadows Art Fair. This year’s theme is EXPANDING THE SPECTRUM OF BLACK IMAGES, WORDS AND IDEAS. ABOUT THE BRONZEVILLE FILM FESTIVAL The Bronzeville Film Festival is being organized by Third World Press Foundation. Its mission is to showcase feature films, documentaries, animation, short films and videos that communicate the sophistication, significance and history of African Americans. The festival promotes appreciation of film as an art form and provides a vehicle for education and entertainment while solidifying the base that nurtures and encourages emerging black filmmakers.
