Announcing: African History Courses being offered at CBPM's website for FREE! The Collective Black People's Movement (CBPM) is excited to announce the offering of the course "Blacks in the City (and other courses), now being offered for free at the CBPM's website, African History Page: (www.cbpm.org/files/AfricanHistory) "Blacks in the City" is a class offered at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, by the African Studies Department. Professor Amiri Baraka was the department Chair and also taught the course "Blacks in the City", a look at the struggles of Black People in the United States from reconstruction (1865) through the Civil Rights Movement (1960's). The information given by Professor Amiri Baraka is vital for all Black People to know because unless we go to College or University and take African History classes, most of us probably would not be exposed to this vital information that is not taught in the public schools of the United States of America. Please read these lessons with your family and especially your children. Tell a friend about the course too. The next class being offered by the Collective Black People Movement (CBPM) is "African Revolution". This class will begin on Monday November 3rd, 2008. African Revolution is taught by Professor Ernest Dube formerly of the State University of New York (SUNY) at StonyBrook, New York and the nephew of the first president of the African National Congress of South Africa, John Dube, when it was formed on January 8th, 1912. The course "African Revolution" looks at the countries in Africa that gained their independence from Military Armed struggle. "Blacks in the City" course is now available at the Collective Black People Movement (CBPM) website because a member of the CBPM brought their University notes to the Collective to share with our people. The CBPM encourages our People to take good notes in school and to bring this information back to the community to spread the knowledge. In this way, the cost to educate one individual from the community can educate all in the community who has interest. CBPM Administration www.cbpm.org 404-HIP-JAZZ
