  • Description: Announcing: African History Courses being offered at CBPM's website for FREE! The Collective Black People's Movement (CBPM) is excited to announce the offering of the course "Blacks in the City (and other courses), now being offered for free at the CBPM's website, African History Page: (www.cbpm.org/files/AfricanHistory) "Blacks in the City" is a class offered at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, by the African Studies Department. Professor Amiri Baraka was the department Chair and also taught the course "Blacks in the City", a look at the struggles of Black People in the United States from reconstruction (1865) through the Civil Rights Movement (1960's). The information given by Professor Amiri Baraka is vital for all Black People to know because unless we go to College or University and take African History classes, most of us probably would not be exposed to this vital information that is not taught in the public schools of the United States of America.
