by Kwasi SeituNancy Pelosi is trying to deny that which is applicable to the entire Congress with regard to the international criminality of George “Baby Doc” Bush’s “War on Terrorism,” which is that they went along with and approved of the ends justifying the means, even if that meant subjecting people to torture. Even though America has yet to admit that it engaged in torture, referring to its conduct as “enhanced interrogation techniques” or “what some people call torture,” it is not doing a good job of holding back the pressure for an accounting. Now, Pelosi claims that she, and the entire Congress was” lied” to and misled by the CIA as to what this government was doing, as if they would have put a stop to it. When the fact is that the entire U.S. Congress, with the exception of less than a handful of members, stepped lock-step with and gave tacit support every criminal act committed by the Bush regime under the “War on Terror.” Consider the fact the it has been accepted by Congress that this country had a right outside of national and international law to invade another country, to overthrow governments, to kidnap citizens of other nations and hold them outside of all legal protection, to transport them to undisclosed locations, and rain down the terror of mass death and destruction on defenseless populations.Barack Obama, with his switch to opposing the release of photographs of the crimes, does not have clean hands, for he too was in Congress when all of this international crime was being committed by the U.S. government. Even now, in spite of all his campaign pledges to openness, Obama essentially has not departed from the policies and practices instituted under Baby Bush, nor of the “Founding Fathers,” who he has praised as “great men.” Those “great men” were enslavers, they preyed on the land of another people to establish the first white settler state in history, and have maintained it by doing what he and Pelosi are doing now, which is to claim “exception” from guilt. The torture of others is secondary to the crimes of having gone out and violated the sovereignty of other nations, kidnapped their citizens, and now holds these people “without a single right” America is bound to respect. If this sounds familiar, that is because it should, for this was the same declared justification used for the kidnapping and enslavement of Afrikans and the genocidal subjugation of the native people in America. So, it is totally disingenuous for Pelosi, Obama, or any member of the Democratic Party to claim that they were not down with the “War on Terrorism” by engaging in terrorism. Before there was the “War on Terrorism,” we must understand that there was the “War on Crime” launched under “Tricky Dick” Nixon, which morphed into a “War on Drugs,” both of which really meant a war on the black movement for social justice and change. And as with every other war America has waged, the “rule of law” domestic and international, was placed to the side in order to achieve an ends. And it is no coincidence that the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution did not “abolish” slavery, but rather made an exception for the power to enslave by reserving it to the federal and state governments, because the practice is critical to the existence of America. Although the amendment clearly states the “Neither slavery or involuntary servitude shall be permitted in the United States, except as punishment for crime,” the accepted mis-representation in America is that it “abolished” slavery even though the word “abolished.” nor any synonym of it, appears in the amendment. This is a what in legal terms is “prima facie” proof of criminal intent, the intent being to perpetuate a position of interpreting right and wrong in order to continue doing wrong because to do right, would mean the end of a very profitable criminal enterprise…the United States of America. It is irrefutable that the U.S. government had no lawful right to seize and detain people under its self-declared “War on Terrorism,” nor did it then have a right to then subject those people to “enhanced interrogation techniques” or torture by any other name, nor to plan to continue holding a single soul on the basis of being a “terrorist suspect.” As far as myself, and I believe the majority of people around the world are concerned, America is way beyond being a “terrorist suspect,” but is a rouge state of denial that engages in terrorism to meet the ends of its ruling elite, thus, it is not and never has been a democracy nor the product of civil society. The people who were subjected to and remain held under terms of indefinite detention as “terrorist suspects,” have been treated no different from those of us who have been subjected to the same treatment as “criminal suspects.” The claim that the American judicial system is “independent” from the political objectives of the rest of the government is nothing less than the rest of the lies about “America.” The fact is that what we know about the criminality of the “War on Terrorism” was first perfected under “Black Codes,” the “Indian Wars” (or war on “Indians”), the “War on Crime,” the “War on Drugs,” or the war on “Welfare.”America’s history is all about war, not justice and peace, because these ideals are the antithesis of its very existence. Truth and honesty are the enemies of America, if it had not attempted to displace and replace the imperial interests of Europe (including Britain) in the middle-eastern countries, then 9/11 would have never happened. There would be no Al Queda had America not created it, this is an irrefutable fact, this is a case of terrorism created and perpetuated by terrorism as we here daily reports of how Obama furthers the Bush war in Afghanistan and into Pakistan, killing hundreds of innocent people with courageous drones of mass destruction and displacement. Who are the cowards, those who strap bombs to themselves in order to confront an enemy, or the geek who works WMD with a joystick from thousands of miles away or drops bombs from thousands of feet in the air on anyone unfortunate enough to be in “collateral” range? This is the “American Dream,” which it tries to impose on others living it’s nightmare of hypocrisy/”Democracy,” then labels and attacks them as “global threats” when they offer any resistance to, or retaliates for, its devastation.America’s justifications for its “War on Terrorism,” is no different from its justifications for its wars on the First Nations, the kidnap and enslavement of Afrikan people, or any of its military and covert interventions around the globe since the turn of the last century. What Pelosi is attempting to deny and Obama is trying to repress is an examination as to the criminal complicity of themselves and the Democratic Party in the crimes of the Bush regime, crimes that were perfected and are maintained domestically under the wars on crime, drugs, the poor, and “Illegal” immigration (as if the “Pilgrims” were legal). The taking and holding of a person outside all known “rule of law” is itself torture of the highest order, water-boarding and other “harsh techniques” of interrogation are nothing more than capsules inside the capsule of the American criminal justice system. This fact has been exposed in places like Hearn, Tulia and most recently in Tenaha, Texas. This fact is reflected in the gross disproportionate number of black and brown people held in the prisons and jails of this nation, much of which is due to tortuous illegal detentions, racially biased sentencing, and a judiciary that essentially racist and corrupt. Pelosi and Obama, along with the overwhelming majority of the Congress, past and present, knew exactly what was being done and approved of what was being done by Bush regime and are all guilty of crimes against Humanity no less than the Nazi’s of Germany were, without exception. The new black face on America is cracking badly as Obama and the Democrats show themselves to be of little difference from the Bush regime and the Republicans.
