FOR THE LOVE OF A DOLLAR, PART 2
In our last jam-packed adventure, we hit upon what many were willing to do in these last days to secure financial freedom for themselves—many times at the expense of others. In short, we have a lot of people in our modern era who are quite content to love a dollar more than our institutions, our nation, our homes and our children.
How may one tell if an individual, or a group are more than happy to chase after that piece of paper? Simple. Study the person or group when their ‘revenue source’ is about to be cut off—whether rightly or wrongly. In terms of the illegal alien issue, I have noticed a host of groups—ranging from urban churches to NGOs (Non-Government Organizations) that have been screaming bloody murder now that the Trump administration has activated the machinery to remove the illegals from the country. The side effect of this re-enforcing of the law? Many other illegals are self-deporting, and self-departing America for their own shores. In the words of General Albert Burkhalter from the historic hit TV show Hogan’s Heroes: “The party’s over!”
Some urban school corporations—who could barely teach OUR OWN children how to read and write—are up-in-arms trying to protect the illegal children under the school house bell. Why? Because the past Biden administration sent along federal money for every illegal child. Same for many urban churches in ‘sanctuary cities’. Same for NGOs. Same for religious charities. You get the point. Where a dollar can be gathered without too much muss or fuss in the matter of illegal aliens, Black folk are eagerly shoved out of the way by other Black folk, for the love of a dollar!
But wait, there’s more!
DEI is another area where Black folk are being led astray for the love of a dollar by others and themselves.. DEI stands for ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’. In reality? DEI stands for ‘Deception, Entitlement and Idolatry’. And, as the Trump administration is cutting the cord to the US Treasury on those groups and organizations and individuals who are die-hard supporters of DEI, we are finding out that those who were ‘DEI’ hires were less capable, less competent, and less likely able to handle a REAL job in the REAL world. Those who were involved in this ‘hellish drain’ on our common sense—from the trainers and HR leaders to the suckers who bought into the process—are screaming like broiled trout. The money tree has had a chain saw put to the roots and has fallen faster than fast.
Now that the truth has been exposed, the hope is that the lesson can be learned. One ONLY achieves based upon hard work, merit, and preparation. Loving a dollar is not even recommended for the short term. It can’t love your back…but it can play you for a fool.
