WHITE DEMOCRATS VS. KAMALA HARRIS: FEAR OF A BLACK PRESIDENT?
As I mentioned in my last power-packed, cliffhanger of a column about Vice President Kamala Harris, I noted that our politics are miles apart. However, I did note that the Democratic party—you know, the party that ‘claims’ to support Black people and racial justice—did not have the right to push the Vice President out of the White House because of her skin color. Now, some three to six months later, the SAME party that worships ‘the rule of law’ is attempting to deep six Joe Biden from running for re-election AND deny Democrat voters the chance to support VP Harris for the presidency.
It’s not fair, folks. It’s also not good form. Please allow me to explain.
First, it was Hillary Clinton who lined up against VP Harris. Now we have former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi throwing shade Harris’ way. What do these female white liberals have against Harris? Skin color is one; sin color is another. Neither Clinton or Pelosi have very much respect for Black people, and it has been obvious for years. Remember when Clinton went to a Black church and feigned Black dialect with a Black church saying? Remember when Pelosi too a knee in an African piece of clothing to show ‘support’ for Black people? Yet, neither of these white liberals truly go to bat for Black people—even when we win positions of authority.
Remember what Malcolm X said about the ‘dangers’ of white liberals, but I digress.
I find it comical that the same Democrat party that has clothed itself as ‘progressive’ is really ‘re-gressive’ when it comes to Black folk. Yet, many Black Democrats are still standing behind these women—and other white liberals—at the expense of Kamala Harris. It seems that Jack has finally come out of the box. What I don’t get is why so many in the Black churches are still ‘in the pocket’ of the Democrat party; and why so many Black pastors support Democrat polices while their congregations—for the most part—are conservative in their beliefs concerning Abortion on Demand, taxes, economic opportunities, and traditional marriage. Kinda makes you wonder what Bible these preachers are preaching from, don’t it?
Like I said, my politics are a firm opposite to the politics of VP Harris, as I am a Republican and she is a Democrat. However, she has the job of Vice President. The KJV Bible is quite clear on the matter of praying for those in authority, not stab them in the back at the first available opportunity—which is something those Democrats who ‘claim’ to go to church should understand. Further, FDR nor most of the Democrats were not that crazy about VP Harry Truman. However, from a historic standpoint, if it wasn’t for Truman, WW II would not have ended, the U. S. Military would not have been desegregated, and the nation of Israel would not have been recognized.
Pretty good work for a haberdasher from Missouri who was unwanted by his own party.
I trust that those who are anti-Trump take a good look at the chicanery in their OWN party and CALL them on it…that is, if you can stand what you see in the mirror. The Democrat party is proving to have no class when it comes to trying to push Joe Biden out of the presidency. They are also proving to have no sense when it comes to bad mouthing Kamala Harris, who IS the Vice President of the United States.
Myself? I don’t think that President Biden is going anywhere. Why should he? If he does go, what about all those who voted for him in the primaries? The DNC rigged those primaries to NOT have anyone compete against Biden for the nomination.
It seems hard-hearted to me for Democrats to attempt to sweep Biden AND Harris out of office. Let ‘em run, and let the public vote!
Sorta makes one think the next few times they go to the polls, right?
