The Quick Scan by Mike Ramey

SOMETIMES, YOU’VE GOT TO CLOCK A BULLY

I recently came across a news item about the state of bullying in American schools.  According to this study, instances of non-contact bullying were in first place; instances of physical bullying—where someone physically intimidated someone—came in second place.

      Yes, you read that right.

I am concerned that many in our society today have forgotten how to handle bullies.  The WOKE crowd (Weirdly Obsessing Kooks and Evildoers) have managed to convince people to ‘defund’ their spines.  Yes, talking to, or trying to reason with a bully works in a few cases.  However, in truth, good ‘ol blunt force trauma—instead of gunfire—usually does the trick in better fashion.  In some cases, you may ‘lose’ the battle—but over the course of time, the victim WILL win the war and the bully (male or female—as there ARE bullying females prevalent in our schools in increasing numbers) will move on and start the search process for another victim.

Remember the ‘summer of love’ riots of a few years ago?  The Antifa and BLM ‘hordes’ got to bullying people in many blue cities.  Democrat mayors ordered their police departments to ‘stand down’ as the Antifa and BLM bullies trashed many a downtown.  However, when the ‘hordes’ made a turn towards the suburbs of many blue cities, they were greeted by folks with guns and baseball bats.  In other words, the bullying hordes were scared off as they encountered suburbanites who were willing to stand their ground and protect what was theirs.

Remember; 30 to 35% of Black folks live IN the suburbs.  Yes, the hood HAS moved!

The same thing must be done in our workplaces, schools, and in some cases—our churches.  One may never know where—or when—a bully will surface.  It is best to be ready to handle each situation as it comes.

Back in the day, I had to face my share of bullies in the school setting.  One time, I had to go off school grounds to take care of the matter.  Another time, I had to physically manhandle a bully who was larger than I was—in front of a crowd.  In each case, I was bruised…and victorious—which shocked the bully.  Of course, there were a few times where I lost the fight…but managed to convince the bully that I wasn’t about to yield to his whims.  In those days, we didn’t use guns, knives of clubs—we used our fists.  Of course, we had to do the occasional ‘penance’ in the Principal’s office (back when we had men and women of courage in that role) and my parents were informed…but, once they understood that I had to stand up for myself, there were no punishments—only praise for another step on the road towards manhood.
