TO THE BITTER END
In the movie Rocky IV, the beginning of the final round of the fight, Russian boxer Ivan Drago—having learned respect for Rocky Balboa throughout the match—told Rocky: “To the bitter end.” Remember this line when you see the ground operations begin in the Gaza Strip as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) begin their physical push into that area to deal with Hamas once and for all. With the carnage caused by Hamas—along with their supporting enablers and money bag men—they have opened a large can of problems that only the IDF will bring.
While it is true that there are about 20 wars going on around our planet at the present time—including the shindig in the Ukraine—the war in Israel at the present is of historical and biblical proportions. It would be safe to say that Antifa, BLM, Palestinian sympathizers, Democrats and Socialists and the rest of the Boycott Divest and Sanctions (BDS) antisemites are rooting for the wrong team. Best stick with Israel on this one—for a variety of reasons. Least of which is that Hamas crossed a BIG line, and there is NO way that they can ‘negotiate’ their way out of this one.
The Internet video camera never blinks—and never deletes. All those ‘cute’ Hamas videos that have made their way up via postings since October 7th, 2023, showing the carnage are going to serve as motivation to the IDF—and exhibits at the war crimes trials of the surviving Hamas membership—that the Mossad will bring in alive. (Quick history note: check out the 2005 flick Munich by Steven Spielberg to get an idea as to the lengths the Israelis will go to punish those who murder its citizens.)
There are those who are trying to throw cold water on a long, drawn-out military campaign by Israel. Tough stuff. I’m backing Israel on this one; always have and always will. For the sake of my Jewish friends from childhood on up to now, Israel deserves our support. It is sad that many of the sins that have gripped the rest of the world (Abortion, Homosexuality, Transgenderism, etc.) have found their way into Israel. Of course, God is not pleased—nor are many Conservative Jews. If one knows their KJV Bible, God has a way of punishing sin—even in our modern era. Sadly, it often is laid on children, as their parents and other adults have made the choice to tun their backs on God. (Just as one example, check out Jeremiah 44).
This war does NOT mean that God has forgotten Israel. It is still the Lord’s land, and the Jews are the Lord’s people (Romans, Ch. 9-10-11; The Book of Hebrews). This episode has drawn the attention of the world from the ‘mundane’ to the ‘heavenly’—as has been put forth in the Bible. Those who call themselves Christians have a duty to pray for—and support—what is about to come in Israel. We are a part of their family, and they are a part of ours.
