Repairing Ourselves - Preparing for Liberation

Habari za jioni [Good Evening] New Afrikans

To achieve we must believe! unfortunately belief only does not create achievement. at the same time, truly reparations is not a selfish reward. truly reparations is not for you or me. reparations is for the generations unborn.

Verse 2 - Lift Every Voice & Sign

Stony the road we trod, bitter the chastening rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat, have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered;
Out from the gloomy past, till now we stand at last
Where the white gleam of our bright star is cast.

we, those on the front line of the reparations struggle, say that Afrikan in ameican & throughout the Diaspora are injuried in five areas - peoplehood/nationhood, crime/punishment/justice, mental & physical health, welath vs poverty and education or miseducation. those injuries did not happen overnight and they run deep. combine that we the misnomers of white supremacy and black inferiority, the task of repairing the demage done seems in insurmountable.

To achieve we must believe! looking at that we have achieved against the obstacles we have faced, there is nothing stopping us from achieving whatever we wanna achieve "except us." the old adage says - we have done so much with so little for so long, we now feel qualified to do any with nothing. we simply have to realize that together we have plenty.

the majority of the front line reparations warriors do what we do because of the children of our children. what we do is the legacy we leave for our families because we do not expect to leave material wealth. and we believe intellecual wealth is far more valuable.

New Afrikans, please excuse my tirade, but i have always been very serious about my Blackness and the Reparations Movement has given me the prefect platform to teach on about the potential Power of Afrikan People.

i hope we get to talk more about Reparations & Black Power for Black People.

remember - failure is not an option in the Reparations Movement

wishing you Peace, Prosperity & Power

i'm Brotha Lukata
