IN 26th DISTRICT

Ranoule Tatum is a single father of two daughters. He is an educational consultant, professional speaker, and employee of The Chicago Public School's as one of their Attendance and Truancy Coordinator's, which he oversees six schools in the Austin area and supervises 12 outreach workers. He has been actively involved the community since 1969, fresh out of college working with the youth.  His teaching career started in 1974.  He is the Manager of Mens Health programming for REAL MEN Charities, Board member of Black Wall Street Chicago, the host and producer of TALKINGSUCCESS Cable TV Show, which has been running for the past 16 years on Chicago CAN-TV, which is just one of his many community service projects.  He started his pursuit to become State Repr

esentative in the 26th District back in 2002, the incumbent at the time of 20+ years was Louvana "Lou" Jones.  He followed up with a run in 2004, 2006, and 2008. Tatum supported Will Burns in 2008 after dropping out of the crowded field and lack of funds. Some feel that Burns won with the margin of victory of the Tatum Campaign supporters.

TATUM knows that the people of the 26th District deserve the best possible representation and;

DISCUSSION ITEMS

1. Ranoule is very concerned about the future relationship between the newly appointed CEO of The Chicago Public Schools and The Chicago Teachers Union.

2. Ranoule will give a report on his testimony at the recent Illinois House Redistricting Committee Hearing in Chicago that took place yesterday at Chicago State University; he will discuss his position calling for certain measures which will insure fairness and Transparency in the redistricting process. The future of the African American, Hispanic and Asian communities are at stake.

3. Ranoule will call for the question as it relates to the clear LACK of Transparency and fairness as it relates to the upcoming process and candidates considered for filling the vacancy of Will Burns, the current State Representative in the 26th District and now Alderman-Elect of the 4th Ward of Chicago.
