"The Report on the Status of Black Women and Girls®" 2020 will be presented to the public on Sunday, August 16, at 3pm via ZOOM. This is the only ongoing Report on the state of Black females in America. Published biennially by The Law and Policy Group, Inc., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, The Law & Policy Group bridges the gap between laws, policies and the people governed by them. The Report includes sections on Health, Education, Political Participation, Youth, Criminal Justice, Employment/Income, Religious Beliefs and Marital Status.
This year, the Report includes information on Black woman and police-involved civilian events as well as the COVID-19 pandemic. The Law and Policy Group, Inc. research interns will present their work on the Report as well as research on police-involved civilian deaths.
Special Appearance from St. Louis, MO, by Attorney Pamela Meanes, General Counsel for the Michael Brown Family and for Mothers Against Police Violence. This year is the 6th Anniversary of the Michael Brown murder and Ferguson uprising.
