On December 10^th, the United Nations (UN) will announce the launch of the   International Decade for People of African Descent. The International Decade will start January 1^st, 2015 and end December 31, 2024(see http://www.un.org/en/ga/search/view_doc.asp?symbol=A/RES/68/237 for more details).
