Mothers in Charge – Chicago is a newly formed chapter of the ten year old non-profit organization Mothers in Charge, Inc. Mothers in Charge, Inc. was started by Dorothy Johnson-Speight in Philadelphia in 2001 following the tragic murder of her son Khaaliq Jabbar Johnson over a parking space dispute.
