DEPROGRAMMING THE BLACK MINDHow do you convince a person that his perceptions that he believes to be his very own, are in fact the results of a massive deceptive psychological manipulation scheme? How do you convince him that his mind has been turned upside down and inside out while his mind is within that very state? This is the dilemma and immense challenge presented when trying to reveal to those Black people, whom has been so deliberately inundated -- through a totally white control media--with false derogatory, negative images about their race, that they are in fact not their own worst enemies?Tragically today many Blacks have come to accept the belief that their greatest problems now stems from negative behaviors embedded within the Black culture itself rather than white racism. This perception is widely accepted by millions of African Americans and it is such a well established belief that many blacks will adamantly and passionately verbally attack their fellow Blacks that now voices their complaints about white racism. The illusion of opportunity and change has been so firmly established upon the national consciousness that to now suggest that the problems among America’s Black communities today now still stems from White racism has become almost laughable and even painfully humiliating for many Blacks. Today it is not uncommon for a Black community activist, speaking before a totally Black audience about white racism, to be heckled by many members of the all Black audience passionately declaring that our worst problems is not white racism but is instead ourselves. It is also inevitable that the Black activist would be accused playing the inevitable race card and of being a victim peddler attempting to absolve the Black race of our own responsibilities. In fact this difference of opinion between those blacks that say that racism is still a detrimental problem in America and those that say that the greatest threat to Blacks are now themselves has grown into a national debate between millions of Blacks. This scenario creates a desolate culture of Black debaters that are not able to mobilize and advance because they’re too busy fighting among themselves over what the source of their problem actually is? This troubling scenario is not unlike that of a dog chasing his own tail caught within a never ending cycle. However this hopeless predicament is in no way unintentional, but is instead a deliberately orchestrated outcome of a secret mass divide and conquer psychologically manipulation campaign designed and implemented by America’s white ruling elites.Today the U.S. Government now secretly disseminates false deplorably racially devaluing statistics and propaganda about its Black population that are deliberately designed to corrupt African Americans sense of unity, cohesion, and reason and to foster a consensual national environment of which its Black population is more easily divided, exploited and ultimately suppressed. The over representation of Black crime, and Black on Black violence figures are propaganda ploys in the field of psychological operations of influence designed to create fear, hatred, and distrust among Blacks, thus ultimately dividing the African American community. [Blacks personal negative experiences and interactions with fellow Blacks merely then acts as a confirmation of this conclusion]The governmental psychosocial treatment of African Americans is designed to mold the character of self-hatred; thus destroying the Black unity and cohesion that was historically the cornerstone of civil rights gains and enabled the survival of African Americans through more than four hundred years of racial oppression. This campaign is also designed to influences Blacks to admire, respect, and trust only Whites and accept white dominance and rule over their lives. Moreover, it provides a more socially acceptable way to assure that the masses of African Americans remains the most racially devalued and most economical exploited and suppressed group in America. Furthermore, it is at the root of both the profound division and self hatred now afflicting so many Black Americans and is at the heart of internalized feelings of superiority that many whites possess. It is in fact so fundamentally detrimental to the Black human condition and psyche that it may even affect the extent to which many African Americans realize their full human potential. [No group can be preconditioned to see only the worst in themselves and not exhibit some degree of negative psychological impact.] Unfortunately for many African Americans, to its credit it has been very successful at dividing and distorting most African Americans perception of their race.Recognizing this truth will be quite difficult for many African Americans given the prevalence of the illusion of obtained equality that now prevails within the U.S. coupled with the deplorably negative statistics about themselves that still persists in the face of this change persuades many Blacks to accept the conclusion that their problems are now mostly self inflicted. Recognizing this disclosure also presents an immense challenge because it requires that Black people first over come their psychologically ingrained white is right perception and put aside their own negatively held perceptions of their race – both symptoms that have been indoctrinated unrelentingly upon the Black psyche that we’re rarely ever to remove. Comprehending this disclosure also presents an immense challenge given that today’s modern system of racism is far more subtle in its application and more sophisticated than any previous form ever before faced by African Americans. For unlike the previous overt blatant system of white racism used in the past of which Blacks were more easily able to identify and agree upon its detriment and therefore able to unify and rally against, this modern system gives the perception that it is Blacks themselves that are responsible for their persistent disparities that continues to exist in the face of much opportunity and change. Unfortunately for African Americans, this modern system employing white racism works very much like that of a marketing campaign designed to demonize and marginalize America’s Black population and to its credit it has been very successful at distorting most African Americans perception of their race.Such as seen for example, in the fact that today, most African Americans actually believe the myth that most Black do not read despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. For never before in the history of America has there been more Black publishing companies, Black owned book stores, and successful Black authors. Never more than now have a greater number of Black national magazine companies made the fortune 500 listed i.e. Johnson, Essence, and Black Enterprise etc... They have all made this prestigious list on the backs of Black readerships. Moreover unlike companies like GM, Delta Airlines and AT&T that have terminated thousands of their employees in the last few years, these Black publishing giants are doing quite well. In fact ten years ago Jet magazine was published once a month today it is published once a week --and again these fortune 500 companies are being sustained upon the Backs of Black readership. On any given day across this country millions of African American youths can be found within our public library reading books or reading on the Internet. When we look at the facts concerning Black readership isn’t it incredible how it is that so many Black people share the belief that most Blacks do not read?Another wrongly held perception among many African Americans regarding their race is the belief that Blacks cannot unify. This is totally inaccurate for while perhaps difficult to believe today; Black unity (Umoja) was also historically, the cornerstone of the African American community and a crucial factor in their survival for more than four-hundred years of White racial oppression. It is credited for the success of the Underground Railroad system that secretly led to the escape of hundreds of African slaves to the North. Black unity and cohesion also contributed to the survival of millions of African Americans not only during slavery, but also during the aftermath of brutal Jim-Crow era lynching and through the financially crippling years of the United States’ great depression era. The unprecedented degree of unity and cohesion also demonstrated by African Americans during the 1960’s civil right movement was extraordinary and arguably remains unrivaled by any other group in the history of America.African Americans are today plagued many fraudulent negative perceptions of themselves. The most popular of which are the myths that the majority of welfare recipient moms in the U.S. are Black women and that most crimes committed each year are done so by African American males. These popularly accepted myths couldn’t be any further from the truth yet they prevail persistently among African American themselves engendering culture filled self contempt and internalized self hatred. How is it possible that so many African Americans now hold such inaccurate negative perceptions about their race? Is this despairing quagmire a natural occurrence? For many the answer may sound incredibly ridiculous and perhaps even inconceivable, but the fact of the matter is that the source of the problem is attributed to this modern deliberate system of covert White racism. These negative self perceptions among many African Americans exist because they are being deliberately subjected, through a white control media, to seeing only the fraudulently worst in themselves. The decline of the blatant, overt white racism used in the past to suppress African Americans up until the late 1960's coincided with the implementation of a better disguised, more intensified and more sophisticated method of White racism more fitting for the times. Although today most African Americans do not experience racism the way their parents experienced it, they do, however, still experience White racism. White racism in the U.S. is still a current and devastating problem that now prevails with sophistication and is employed more covertly and more proficiently than ever before. The media is corporate owned and governmentally controlled and through it African Americans are being deliberately subjected, through a white control media, to seeing only the fraudulently worst in themselves. The U.S. Unfortunately for African Americans, to its credit it has been very successful and distorting most African Americans perception of their race. Its goal and function is to destroy the degree of Black unity and cohesion that attributed to the civil rights legislation gained during the 1960’s. Because unlike the Native American Indians whom after years of fighting settled contently quietly out of the way, upon their reservations compiled of lands left unwanted by whites and the Hispanics and Asians groups that also lived their lives in total acceptance of the cruel blatant white racist policies that denied them equal rights African Americans, to the contrary, have fought more fiercely for equality and civil rights than any other ethnic group in America. The remarkable degree of resistance against white blatant racism demonstrated during the civil right struggles among African Americans was made evident by the brilliant organization and mobilizations of mass bus boycotts, marches, freedom riders, and sit ins that were peacefully conducted through the unified protest of civil disobedience. These methods of civil disobedience gave the world images of African Americans being violently attacked by Whites and not violently responding to them in return. These images touched the hearts and consciences of others, gaining national and global support eventually leading to America’s abandonment of blatant and legalized forms of Jim Crow racism. Black unity was also the most significant factor in the success of the 1960's civil right movement. The degree of unity and organization demonstrated among African Americans then was extraordinary and arguably remains unrivaled by any other group in the history of America. The U.S. government’s doctrine of psychological warfare requires meticulous study of a targeted group’s strengths and weakness. With this knowledge, it then unrelentingly exploits the target group’s weakness and attacks their strengths. Logic dictates that if unity and cohesion among African Americans was responsible for the demise of White America’s past system of blatant, institutionalized racism, destroying this unity would be an essential objective of psychological warfare. The over representation of Black on Black crime figures is a propaganda tool in the psychological operation of influence designed to create fear, hatred, and distrust among Blacks, thus ultimately dividing the African American community. The governmental psychosocial treatment of African Americans is designed to mold the character of self-hatred. It is designed to destroy the Black unity and cohesion that was historically the cornerstone of civil rights gains and enabled the survival of African Americans through more than four hundred years of racial oppression.Today African Americans they that gained significant civil rights advancements for all minorities are now depicted in the least favorable light. The objective of psychological warfare against African Americans is to ensure the maintenance of White dominance by creating a shift in victimization on behalf of Whites that lessens pressure for social change on behalf of Blacks. The effect is heightened insensitivity throughout the nation and world regarding the plight of African Americans – essentially stripping them of the national and international support that was acquired during the 1960's civil rights struggles. Immense campaigns of false statistics and media reports degrading the Black population and disproportionately portraying Black men as criminals and Black women as welfare recipients does this quite well. These negative, inaccurate portrayals of African Americans are highly effective at conveying Black behavior as justification for White racism in the U.S. Consequently, critiquing White racism becomes increasingly difficult. Modern White racism also results in the dilution of societal efforts to assist Blacks. It also attempts to discourage miscegenation between Whites and Blacks. It also affects attitudes that, when enacted through governmental policies, laws, and other legislation actions, serve to ensure that African Americans will not advance. Its effects are manifested in ideas, education, governmental policies, economic stratification, social segregation, housing markets, hiring and promotion practices, psychological issues, and minority access to a variety of social services and opportunity. It also creates a false justification for the legal system’s mistreatment of African Americans wherein they are disproportionately incarcerated, given stiffer sentences, and are more likely than other racial groups to be treated brutally, beaten, and fired upon by police officers while they are unarmed. Some studies have shown that this shift of victimization now reflects increasingly disparaging characterizations and prejudiced perceptions about African Americans that are arguably stronger today than they were after emancipation. The reinventing of methods of suppressing sub-groups is not at all uncommon. In examining the records of history, we often find that, among those mighty empires which were brutal, greedy, and racist, that those behaviors did not decay quickly. Even after the fall of the empire these patterns of racism where often reincarnated into forms more acceptable to the changing times. As seen within the abolitionist struggles and Civil rights struggles white America has a tradition of resistance against the advancement of its Black population. This tradition of resistant has always correlated with the necessity to reinvent newer forms of institutionalized racism. This practice of reinventing newer forms of institutionalized racism was already seen in the United States when, after the abolishment of slavery, the evil of racism was reincarnated into Jim Crow inequalities that where maintained by regional authorities and condoned by the U.S. Government. This atrocious American pattern of reinventing newer methods of suppressing - and while exploiting - its Black population to maintain its White dominance and control secretly continues in the 21 century. The United States Government’s psychological operation of devaluing African Americans is not always recognized. In fact, in most cases, it is executed very subtly and is often done under the pretext of helping African Americans, while in fact actually exploiting them. Such as seen for instance, in August 1996, when President William “Bill” Clinton signed the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act, better known as the “Welfare Reform” Bill. During the ceremony, which was broadcast on television to the entire nation and the world, the president was accompanied by two African American welfare moms who were strategically positioned on each side of him as he signed the new bill—perpetuating false images of African American women without using overt racism —thus feeding and perpetuating the racist stereotype that the largest recipients of welfare are “lazy Black mothers.” These types of actions by the White House further the government’s objective of removing the blame for racism from Whites to placing it on the behavior of African Americans. Additionally, they are the basis for White attitudes towards Blacks while psychologically producing feelings of embarrassment, gratitude, and indebtedness among Blacks towards the American government. The fact, however, is that the majority of welfare mothers are White women. Regardless of the many false images of social programs of welfare and food stamps for the benefit of African Americans perpetuated through the media, the largest recipient of these benefits cannot and will never be African American women. Understand that according to U.S. government statistics, Black women make up only 6 % of the nation’s total population. Therefore, even if a ridiculously high number such as half of all Black women were welfare recipients, that would still only equate to 3 % of the total population. Clearly, the negative, fraudulent portrayal of Black women as being the majority of welfare moms is a prime example of psychological warfare.Perhaps no president relied more heavily on the use of the psychological operation that portrayed African American Women as negative welfare queens than Ronald Reagan (Green and McCall, 1987). Reagan's career as an actor and spokesperson for General Electric provided him with an audience to refine his storytelling style and to perfect the ability of appealing to the concerns and fears of White voters without the use of overtly racist appeals. Reagan's campaigns revolved around themes that exemplified the image of the Black welfare queen. Such was the case when he challenged Gerald Ford for the Republican Party nomination for president. Reagan gave an elaborate story of “welfare abuse” that appeared in the New York Times, February 15, 1976, on page one, which stated the following: "There's a woman in Chicago. She has 80 names, 30 addresses, 12 social security cards, and is collecting veteran benefits on four non-existing deceased husbands. And she is collecting Social Security on her cards. She's got Medicaid, is getting food stamps, and she is collecting welfare under each name. Her tax-free income is over $150,000.” The speech emphasized how "they, the abusers, enjoy lives of leisure, whereas ‘we’ [Whites] work harder than ever before with little chance of ever getting ahead.” The welfare queen abuse story played, and continues to play well among the White masses, and its reference to the abuser leaves little doubt about the implied racial identity of the abuser without stating it explicitly. The story then acquires a life of its own, far more elaborate and intriguing than before. At times, she has more kids and fewer husbands. Nevertheless, it worked because it delivered messages penetrating the consciousness of White voters across party lines. After Reagan defeated Carter in the 1980 election, the welfare stories made it possible for him to reduce social programs. The collapse of the Black nuclear family can be directly attributed to the welfare program’s awarding of funds to mothers only when the father was kept out of the homes. While portraying most welfare moms in America as being Black women, the government’s psychological operation also disproportionately perpetuates the image of Black men as the undisputed face of crime in America. Although commonly presumed accurate and accepted, this representation is very inaccurate for it is simply rhetoric; the numbers just do not properly add up. According the U.S. government, African Americans make up just above 12% percent of the total American population. From this number, let us attempt to quantify these African Americans that make up most of America’s criminals. Let’s begin by subtracting from this 12% percent the amount of 6% represented by Black women. This leaves just 6% percent of the total American population as being African American males. Let us now assume a ridiculously high number such as half of all Black men in America as criminals. This total number of African American male criminals would still only comprise just 3% percent of the total national population. Moreover, we did not even bother to subtract from that original 6% those African American males that (disproportionately) make up almost 35% of the United States military. The point is that it is literally impossible for America’s Black population to equate to what is negatively portrayed in the national media. Furthermore, the absolute number of African Americans is simply too small to statistically relate the total number of crimes to the perpetuated images of Blacks as mostly responsible for crime in America. For even if there are disproportionately high levels of crime within their own Black communities, the total number of African Americans males is too small to even remotely approach the huge problem perpetuated by the media. This is not the result that one would expect from watching the evening news or an episode of the television show "Cops." While some African Americans today live in conditions that cause them to resort to crime, never in the history of America has the actual number of criminal activities in any given year been higher among African Americans than Whites. The media’s continued projection of Black males as the majority of criminals in America is clearly psychological operations at work. Moreover, research has disclosed that most serious crimes such as homicide, rape, robbery and assault in inner cities are committed by a very small proportion of African Americans youths; some estimate a high of only 7% percent. Furthermore, White males commit the majority of crimes in America. Their immensely larger population is a factor in this. However, the media persistently exaggerates the idea that African American males commit most of the crimes in America.THE PROFITABLE INDUSTRY OF RACISMThe secret infrastructure of the American judicial system is one in which African Americans are being systematically, disproportionately incarcerated and the propaganda of psychological warfare is then used to justify it. The propaganda of African American males as primarily responsible for crime helps justify the gross mistreatment of Black males in the U.S. judicial system. It creates a false premise for the disproportionately high number of African American males incarcerated and the longer sentences they receive. These inequalities within the legal system are beneficial to the government in that it stimulates and maintains the stability of the economy in terms of building more prisons and providing more jobs. The prison industry in the United States is big business that uses a modern form of inhumane exploitation of African Americans. The U.S. has locked up more people than any other country: a half a million more than China, which has a population five times greater than the U.S. The U.S. holds 25% of the world’s prison population, but only 5% of the world’s people (CNN, ABC News). The number of inmates includes a disproportionately high percentage of African Americans. The prison industry in the U.S. grew from a population less than 300,000 in 1972 to 2 million in 2000. A significant factor in this growth is privatization of prisons. Private prisons are the biggest business in the prison industry complex. They receive a guaranteed amount of money for each prisoner, independent of what it costs to maintain each one. The secret to low operating cost is having a minimum number of guards for the maximum number of prisoners. .Ten years ago, there were only five private prisons in the U.S. There are now more than 100. The private contracting of prisoners for work fosters incentives to incarcerate more African Americans. Prisons depend on this income. At least 37 states have legalized the contracting of prison labor by private corporations. Corporate stockholders who profit from prison workers lobby for longer sentences in order to expand their work force and profits; the system feeds itself – the prison industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the U.S., and its investors are on Wall Street. The list includes such companies as IBM, Boeing, Motorola, Microsoft, AT&T, Texas Instrument, Dell, Compaq, Honeywell, Hewlett- Packard, Nortel, Lucent Technologies, Revlon, Macy, Target Stores, Pierre Cardin, and many more. The prison privatization boom began in the 1980s under Ronald Reagan but reached its height in the 1990s under William Clinton when Wall Street stocks did extremely well. Clinton’s program for cutting the federal workforce resulted in the Justice Department contracting with private prison corporations. ……..The societal and economic factors of racism in which the White elites suppress their lower Black class in order to maximize profits are very lucrative practices. A hidden fact is that the U.S. Government’s revenues from its exploitation of the Black population are actually greater than what it spends on programs for the benefit of African Americans. In the 1980s, Michael Reich developed the segmentation theory of ‘divide and rule,’ which attempts to explain racism from an economic point of view. In this theory, Reich proposed that the ultimate goal in society is to maximize profits. As a result, the exploiter will attempt to use any means to (1) suppress higher wages among the exploited class -- the cheap labor aids the success of the U.S. economy (2) weaken the bargaining power of the working class, often by attempting to split it along racial lines (3) promote prejudices (4) segregate the Black community (5) ensure that the elite benefit from the creation of stereotypes and racial prejudices against the Black community. Reich argues that the major corporations in the U.S. (e.g., Time Warner, Coca Cola, General Motors, etc.) all have at least one member on each other’s corporate boards of directors. As a result, it is in the interest of these members to maximize profits while employing the above devices. The mere fact of these corporate executives sharing economic corporate power combined with the quest for economic profit has now paved the way for economic discrimination. In her book, Unequal Justice: A Question of Color; Professor Coramae Richey Mann, an African American professor in criminal justice, writes that the criminal justice system’s goal is to warehouse Blacks and other minorities in prisons and to expand the criminal justice enterprise so as to provide jobs for the majority groups in the law industry (law enforcement officers, probation officers, and lawyers). The implementation of the ‘three strikes you’re out law’ and prolonged sentences for felons found with crack cocaine, rather than its more potent powder form found more often among Whites, are deliberately designed to assure that White dominance is maintained because they are directly aimed at imprisoning Black males. Obviously, this prevents them from being productive members of the Black community. The high number of Black men incarcerated also directly slows down the Black pregnancy growth rate and strips African Americans of political power through the loss of voting rights among our Black felons. The many governmental programs implemented for the benefit of African Americans are often done in a manner that fosters humiliation and a sense of obligation toward the government. The fact, however, remains that African Americans, although making up just 12 percent of the national population, contribute billions of dollars each year to the Gross Domestic Product. The profits earned by the U.S. government from its covert exploitation of its Black population far exceed any amount of funds actually spent by the government on social programs benefiting African Americans. ……Many African Americans may find the assertions in this piece ridiculously unbelievable. However, it would in fact, be more ridiculous and indeed, absurd or a case of collective amnesia to believe that a racial group such as Whites (the most arrogant and rapacious group), who have an unprecedented history of vicious racism; who are the most indomitable in history; who have victimized or been enemies of all other races; who alone have taken possession of the physical and moral world and have planned and waged aggressive, unjustifiable wars; who have committed crimes against humanity such as genocide and slavery; would just simply give up the advantages of their dominance so easily. Those who forget history are destined to have history’s crimes repeated against them.Sadly, although to do so would be against their own self interest, many Black people often perceive this type of information as being merely a form of reverse racism towards whites. However, exposing this real life Black Matrix is not at all about inflaming racial hatred and anti-White sentiments. It is about informing our communities about what is being deliberately done to them as a matter of national interest so that they may stop accepting these hardships and, instead, confront them. The preponderance of evidence noted here unequivocally affirms that there is a secret war being implemented against African Americans by the United States government as a means of maintaining its white dominance and control. Moreover, there is neither a struggle nor fight more pressing for modern Africans today than the eradication of this real-life Black Matrix that is used to confuse us, turn us against each other, suppress us, and then ultimately exterminate us.When the truth comes along and you know in your bones that it’s the truth yet you refuse to defend it, you then truly begin to die.The preceding article included excerpts from the popular Book intitled The BLACK MATRIX: The Mordern Mental and Social Suppression of African Americans Under National Interest.
