AFRIKAN LUNCH: Food for the body, mind and soul!

eBukhosini Solutions invites the Afrikan Family to the first serving of
Afrikan Lunch in 2014. This time we will deal with a very serious subject

that affect many Afrikan families; DRUGS. But, as usual, the Afrikan Lunch

is a combination of practical information, good food and inspirational

meeting with other Sisters and Brothers. Spread the word and hold this

date in your calendar. You KNOW you need some inspiration!

A delicious plate of healthy food is available for an affordable price

(R40 per plate). Tea/coffee (R10) and juice (R12) are also on sale.

About the THEME

Drugs have become a serious problem in Afrikan communities. Parents are

losing their children to drugs and families are increasingly breaking down

due to effects caused by drug addiction. As parents, what symptoms should

one look out for if one suspect that children are using drugs? What causes

drug abuse, how does addiction affect the Afrikan family specifically, and

what is that that can be done to resolve the problem? From an Afrikan

point of view, are there interventions that can be used to combat this

monster that is killing our people?

About the PRESENTER

Bro’ Johan Robyn works as Outreach Counsellor at the Outreach Foundation

in Hillbrow, JHB. He is a trained pastoral counsellor with postgraduate

studies in HIV/Aids management. Robyn has more than 10 years of work

experience in urban city communities, working especially with families,

troubled youth and vulnerable communities. Currently his focus is on the

impact of drugs and substance abuse on families in inner-city communities.

About EBUKHOSINI

Ebukhosini is a home/office/family-place – set up to inspire the Afrikan

Family. The Afrikan Lunch is an informal, monthly, lunch-event where you

can buy a plate of great food and relax in the company of interesting

people. After the presentation, it also becomes a great place for
