The Zimbabwean Music Festival is an annual celebration of Zimbabwean music and culture. A fun-filled three-day weekend of concerts, workshops, community conversations, a marketplace and more, Zimfest is the largest annual gathering in North America of students, teachers, performers, and fans of Zimbabwean music. More... Zimfest 2008 was held July 3–6 at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. We were excited to welcome more than 20 Zimbabwean teachers and an amazing group of North American teachers. More... Zimfest is coming to Boulder, Colorado! Join us June 25–28, 2009 for a full weekend of concerts and presentations, plus workshops in marimba, mbira, singing, dance, drum, hosho, and more. Offerings at all levels from total beginner through expert, with special youth, choral, and music teacher tracks. Workshops and afternoon outdoor concerts on the beautiful CU–Boulder campus. Evening concerts in town at the historic Boulder Theater just off the Pearl Street Mall. Accommodations available on and near campus within walking distance of all events. ZimArt 2009 is seeking two- and three-dimensional works pertaining to the music, art, and culture of Zimbabwe. The show will take place during May and June at the Boulder Public Library.
