This year on September 19th through September 21st, 2008, the first "Luv4Self National Conference" will be held in Baltimore, Maryland at the historic: Sojourner-Douglass College, 200 N. We're asking all Luv4Self members throughout the US to begin movements of mobilization in every city...Begin to meet with Luv4self members in New York, Philly, Chicago, DC, Baltimore, Atlanta and every city, town and village (smile) that we exist, as we prepare for our first annual national conference. Please be patient with us as we begin to provide culturally rich workshops from renowned speakers on topics that encourage understanding of and support strengthening in our Black communities. These topics include but are not limited to: * 2008 Presidential elections * Reparations * Political Prisoners * The state of Hip Hop & the media's negative portrayal of Blacks and other topics surrounding the 4 main topics of: 1. Healthy Living - vegetarianism; exercise; obesity; high blood pressure and other health concerns in the Black community 2. Business & Economics - 2008 presidential elections; entrepreneurship; credit; financial planning; 3. Cultural Awareness - media reviews on music/hip hop; racism; education; youth development; reparations; political prisoners 4.
