In August 1831, the Honorable Nat Turner gathered Black Family together in the woods of Southampton County, VA and plotted a rebellion against the white plantation owners. The uprising sparked a flame that fueled other imprisoned Brothers and Sisters to take up arms all over the south, putting intense pressure on the white plantation owners to end chattel slavery. We honor one of the most courageous Black Men to ever walk the face of the planet. NAT TURNER!!!
