The Sistas2Daughters Mini-Conference will empower young women with information about Sheroes of History (Ourstory), Economic Self Sufficiency, and Cultural Development & Enrichment. Based on the premise that relevant education is the key to unlock the doors of opportunity, the Sistahood Empowerment Conference will empower young women by providing them with information that relates to their sense of self-efficacy. Knowing the great work of the women of the Civil Rights Movement will provide role models for today’s young women to be change-makers. Better understanding money management and economic self-sufficiency will empower young women to focus on family rather than surviving poverty.
