This year The Shashamane Foundation, Inc USA , commemorate the 9th Year of our support for The Shashamane , Education, Skill Training, and Recreation Community NGO Project , Executed by the Jamaican Rastafarian Development Community, of Shashamane Ethiopia I can not cease to give thanks to the Most High God, and acknowledge that it is only through His Mercy and Benevolence, that we have managed to accomplish the task of assisting the building of an institution of learning in Shashamane, Ethiopia, which holds approximately 400 children, and has 11 classrooms, Elementary school facility, a Kindergarten facility, a Canteen, Art Room a Library and a Staff Room. And I am also acknowledging His Spirit moving in each your hearts to give either of your resources and/ or time that he has blessed you with, to lend support to this noble ideal. As His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie 1st, has said, which our Foundation's Motto: "It is the duty of the educated few, to fulfill the legitimate aspirations of the unfortunate many". This project has been renewed with the Government of Ethiopia for another 5years. The challenge to us is to guide this institution of free education to its children and community to ideal self reliance and self sufficiency, and also improve its function of service to the students and the community. We believe that an informed supporter is the best soldier. Then do whatever is in your power to promote and evangelize our goal as a people, working together to build communities in Africa. Slowly but realistically and inexorably reaching towards our goal in our life time, leaving our footprints for the youth to follow and accomplish the task we may not have been able to finish.
