This tour will provide a comprehensive picture of sexuality in Ancient Kemet. The Kemites viewed sexuality as the cosmic process which maintained the precarious balance of the universe.
WE WILL ACCOMPLISH 3 MAJOR OBJECTIVES ON THIS TOUR:
1) We will outline the major creation myths and develop a comprehensive description of divine sexuality.
2) We will investigate the history and norms of human sexual relationships. The tour will answer critically important questions. Did couples use protection (condoms, etc.)? Were there same-sex relationships? Did Ancient Kemetic woman have pregnancytests?
3) We will uncover the secret sexual code hidden in Ancient Kemetic art. We will utilize the MET's incredible collection and the images of collections around the world to illuminate these arcanesymbols.
Your tour will run approximately 3 hours and will cost $30 for adults and $20 for students. Please RSVP as soon as possible as limited spaces are available. Pay via PayPal or by cash or money order on site. Please meet in the museum lobby at least 15 minutes prior!
As this tour will discuss the issues of sex and sexuality, if you intend to bring children under the age of 16, PARENTAL GUIDANCE IS ADVISED.
