The Leonard Howell 119th Earthday Celebration kicks off with:

A Screening of the Documentary "The First Rasta" at 6pm, at UWI, Mona Campus , Multi-Functional Room on the evening of Thursday, June 15. Afterwards  all roads lead to Pinnacle (Sligoville) for the   lighting of the Fire-Key at Midnight. Nyahbinghi drumming and chanting continues right through the night till daylight on the morning of Friday, June 16.

From 1pm-till 6pm during the afternoon on Friday (June 16), the Howellites will take over in terms of hosting the Leonard Howell 119th  Earthstrong Celebration at Pinnacle. There will be Kumina Drumming and testimonials , given by the Howellites and members of the Howell family, (who suffered the brutal State attack on Pinnacle ,in the mid 1950s, first hand.)

Later on in the evening,  ( Friday, June 16) the Nyahbinghi Order will resume hosting the Earthday Celebration with Nyahbinghi Drumming and chanting, right throughout the night till daylight  of the morning of Saturday, June 17,

There will then be a general reasoning later on during the course of Sunday, June 18, (Father's Day  in the West)), at  about  midday.  The reasoning will focus  appropriately  on Leonard Howell  and his legacy. A first generation Rastafari leader who is widely considered to be the terrestrial father of the Rastafari Movement so far as Jamaica is concerned. Having been vested with the necessary prophetic vision by  the diivine father himself, H.I.M. Haile Selassie, Leonard Howell was able to amass a considerable following in Kingston and St Thomas before establishing his base at Pinnacle.

The Leonard Howell  119th Earthday Celebration will seal up (later on during the same Sunday) with a final night of Nyahbinghi Chanting and Drumming at Pinnacle, (courtesy of the Nyahbinghi House)             This will go on right through the night.until daylight on Monday morning, (June 19.)
