    We hope that this Spring season finds you in full bloom. Just a gentle reminder to join Fua Dia Congo every Saturday for dance and drum classes at The Malonga Casquelourd Center for The Arts in Oakland! Our current schedule is as follows:


    Congolese Drumming w/ Kiazi Malonga

    Saturdays at 11:30a-1:00p

    Fee: $20

    Please be advised masks and social distancing are observed. As of February 1, 2022, the City of Oakland's vaccination mandate requires that all Malonga Center patrons 12 years old and up must provide proof of vaccination.   • Remembrance and Celebration of the life of Kathy Boudin: Saturday, Sept. 10

    Dear Family and Friends, 
    Here is the invite to the September 10th remembrance of Kathy.

     I'm writing in the hopes that many of you will join us for a remembrance and celebration of our dear Kathy Boudin on Saturday September 10th in New York.  Please feel free to share this with friends and colleagues of Kathy.

    Our beloved Kathy Boudin died on May Day 2022 with her son Chesa Boudin and her life partner David Gilbert by her side. After a seven-year fight with cancer she died surrounded by lifelong friends and family members.

    Kathy lived an incredible life and leaves behind a living legacy of justice, community and care. So many of us are lucky to be a part of the vast constellation of community that Kathy wove throughout her life and we hope that you will join us to remember and to celebrate her.
