Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities Launches Hybrid Special Event
Highlights Include Hurston's 130th Birthday Celebration, Africa-America Women's Economic Forum, Afrofuturism Conference and Taste of Eatonville Drive-In Movie Experience.
The 32nd annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities (ZORA!® Festival) will continue its time-honored tradition of presenting thought provoking and culturally relevant experiential programing. A production of the Association to Preserve the Eatonville Community, Inc. (P.E.C.), the 2021 festival will be a Hybrid Special Event with the official launch on Thursday, January 7, 2021 celebrating Zora Neale Hurston's 130th birthday and culminating Saturday, January 31, 2021.

- Description: On Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 7:30 until 8:30 PM, the International African Arts Festival in conjunction with the National Association of Kawaida Organizations will hold their first virtual program of the new year entitled: Marcus Garvey Goes Home to Africa. The program will focus on efforts to have a statue of the Honorable Marcus Mosiah Garvey installed at the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on August 17, 2021.
