    On Saturday, June 30th the New York Chapter of the National Association of Kawaida
    Organizations (NAKO) in conjunction with the International African Arts
    Festival (IAAF) will present its 23rd Annual Symposium on Cultural, Community and Struggle.
     

    The confirmed list of speakers is as follows, Dr. Molefi Kete Asante of  Temple University, will be speaking on the planning and development of the African American think tank named-Afrocentricity International.

    A short video presentation titled, ”White Supremacist Terror” will feature Lecia Brooks, Director of Outreach for the Southern Poverty Law Center.

    Juan Gonzalez, featured journalist for the New York Daily News and co-host of radio and tv show Democracy Now, will speak on his latest book that he co-authored titled News for All the People; The Epic Story of Race and the American Media.

    Larry Hamm founder and President of the People’s Organization For Progress (POP) will address, ‘Social Justice, Organizing and Organization.’
