Mothers were in the days of yore. We have a
beautiful history, and we shall create another now

Greetings Cultural Warriors,
Session Four finds us thinking about Malcolm X, inspiring this month’s theme “Reading Up On Malcolm.”
Suggested reading: 'By Any Means Necessary: Real, Not Reinvented.' This book was complied by Haki R. Madhubuti, Herb Boyd and others as a response to Manning Marable’s controversial biography of Malcolm X. There are many other books about Malcolm, we will be sharing our thoughts about what we have read.
Books can be purchased at Sister’s Uptown Bookstore, if not available, Sister Janifer ((212) 862-3680) will be more than happy to order it for you.
Our 4th session is Friday, May 2, 2014, 7pm — 9pm.
DVDs from pass sessions are available for purchase at the Bookstore.
All are welcome. Bring the family.
We look forward to continuing this journey of cultural growth with you.
Suggested Donation: $10.00. Free for Young People 12 and under.
