Some of the Information that will be Provided and Questions/Concerns that Will Be Addressed include:
- What does GENTRIFICATION mean for thousands upon thousands of people of African descent in communities nationwide?
- Why, in Philadelphia, have we not been adequately informed by our elected officials and others about how our homes and communities were and are being taken by way of the tactics used in "GENTRIFICATION" such as increased rents and property taxes, foreclosures, neglected properties that are often intentionally left to deteriorate and that assist in producing blighted areas, high drug traffic and crime areas, etc..
- What is the Phila. 2035 Plan and how does the Planning Commission, Zoning Board, AVI, and City Council decisions and approvals of developers
- Can "Eminent Domain" be issued in your community?
- How can we be more involved, now, in the decisions making and development processes, impacting and effecting our families and communities, that are presenting taking place or that will be taking place in the future ?
- How many Black folks (African Americans), labor/trades persons, developers,contractors,etc. are actually hired for the developments in and around our communities and what is the projection for hiring in the future.
- What benefits will our community get as it pertains to the dismantling, restructuring, and re-allocation of property in and around our places of residency and business.
