Join Us for a Culturally and Politically Relevant Visit of Cameroun, with Afrocentric Scholars,
Dr. Molefi Kete Asante & Dr. Ama Mazama, Leaders of AI.
We will tour in Cameroun and its main sites of Afrocentric interest: We will travel to Nkongsamba to visit the Ekom Waterfalls; to Bamenda, where we will pay a visit to the Fon (King), to Foumban in the ‘Mythic Sultanate of Njoya’; the `Slave Market’ of Bayangam, The Fovu’s Cave, The Chiefdom of Bandjoun, The Chiefdom of Bamendjou, the Cultural Center of Dschang; to Kribi where we will visit the Lobé Waterfalls ,exchange with the Baka (so-called “Pygmies”); to Buea at Cameroun Mount also called “Tank of the Gods”; and finally, to Bimbia, a major port of the Triangular Trade, where we will perform a
Ritual of Reconnection with Our Ancestors.
In addition, AI’s Two-Day Conference in Douala Will Feature Prominent and Progressive Camerounian and other African Intellectuals Who Will Share the Challenges and Victories of Africans in Cameroun.
