In 1967 the then president Lyndon Johnson formed a commission to access the riots that swiped across America through 1964 - 69, which became known as "The Kerner Report".  This report concluded that America was "moving toward two societies, one black, one white - separate and unequal."

In 1998, 30 years after the issuance of the Report, former Senator and Commission member Fred R. Harris co-authored a study that found the racial divide had grown in the ensuing years with inner-city unemployment at crisis levels.

Today we find ourselves suffering from double the national unemployment, uninsured at one and half times that of white Americans (our infant mortality rate is double). Fifty seven years after "Brown vs. the board of education, the Department of Education reports that "the gap between black and white students remains frustratingly wide." Between, 1984 – 2007 whites wealth jumped from $22,000 to $100,000, while the median value of holding for us rose from $2,000 to just a mire $5,000. Still think things are as peachy as they appear to be on T.V.? Well, if this one does not motivate you to action, nothing will - "today more African Americans citizens are in prison, jail, probation or parole than were enslaved in 1850 BEFORE THE CIVIL WAR BEGAN!
