First Annual Africa and Diaspora Day An all day event, the day will begin with an outdoor festival featuring an array of food, cultural workshops and live entertainment; followed by a multi-cultural mass showcasing music from Africa and its Diaspora; and ending with a spectacular evening affair that includes dinner, music, a fabulous African-inspired fashion show; and a keynote address by Fr. Cyprian Davis, world-renown historian and authority on Black Catholics. Proceeds from the celebration (which is expected to attract 2000+ participants) will go to St. Augustine's School and several organizations that do critical work in Africa and the Diaspora.
