CELEBRATE ASSATA'S FREEDOM & DEMAND:
-That she not be designated a terrorist
-That the $2 million bounty be rescinded
-Respect for her political asylum & freedom under Cuban sovereignty
-Freedom for all state & federal political prisoners
In 1979, Black Panther/Black Liberation Army revolutionary Assata Shakur
escaped from a New Jersey prison, where she was serving a life sentence.
She currently lives in forced exile in Cuba.
When: Sat. Nov 2, 7pm
Where: Burning Books 420 Connecticut st. Buffalo NY 14213
*Join us for an evening of brief presentation on Assata's
case & showing of film "Eyes of the Rainbow", & letter-writing to her
co-defendant, Sundiata Acoli, serving a life term in prison stemming from the same incident.
The event is free, but donations will go towards Sundiata's support
fund.
